It Is Written

It Is Written

That’s one of my favorite songs. There’s power in the blood. There’s power in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And, you know, and it’s in the authority and the power, Jesus says, in His name, in the name of Jesus. You know, and sometimes I hear people say, I pray in His name. There’s no authority in that name.

It’s in the name of Jesus. It says that in Philippians chapter 2, verses, you know, 9 to 11, that every knee is going to bow down, every tongue is going to confess. You know, Jesus, you know, is our Lord.

He’s our Savior. He’s the King. And everything is written down, and that’s going to be my message for this morning.

It is written. And it’s even about you and me. It’s Psalms 139.

We don’t have time to go through all that, but Psalms 139, King David says, that it’s written down in a book. Everything about you, from the time that you were conceived, from the time that you were come into this world, as you go to school, as you go to work, as you get married, as you have your family, eternity, but from eternity to eternity. It’s written down.

God has a record. He knows all these things. And so, you know, Irene and I were down in a little Amish town in Middlefield, Ohio, and we were with another couple, and he was driving, the other guy was driving, and all of a sudden he came up to this big sign.

I can’t even make it. It was twice as big as what I could make it. And on it, at the stop sign, it said, Whoa.

And we were down where the Amish are, and with their horse and buggies, and I guess it was for the horse, that the horses could read it. You know, and they need it very big. And so, anyways, we came up to the sign, and he looked both ways, and he was going to take off, and I said, Whoa! He said, What do you mean, Whoa? He said, I see the horse and buggy guy coming.

I said, Whoa! And he said, I don’t get what, I don’t know what you mean. I said, Look at the sign. And he says it says, Whoa! It says, Whoa! He said, he was going to say stop, but because that’s the, when you see that red and white lettering, it means usually it says stop, but there it says, Whoa! Well, we were coming down one time to Grand Forks, and there’s a big sign on the right, and it said, you know, Canadian loonies welcome in Grand Forks.

You know, and I’m thinking that Canadians are a little bit loony, and it could be true, you know, and there’s a lot of them there. And then you see this little wee coin, and we have a one dollar coin that’s called a loony because it has a loon on it. And so, but Canadian loonies are welcome.

And so, I’m glad that we could be down here and be able to come and share the Word of God. And, you know, what a challenge it is today to preach the Word of God, even though it’s written. A lot of people don’t want to hear about it.

People are trying every way to get around it. They’re making up their own rules, their own laws, their own, what they even think of it. And God has written it out so that we would know what He says and what He wants.

And so we’re going to take this little trip here to the pinnacle, to the temple, and to a mountain. And it’s where Satan is going to take the Lord Jesus, and as Pastor Glenn was reading, you know, that Jesus had been in the wilderness now for 40 days, and Satan comes to Him to tempt Him. And that’s what He does to everybody.

That’s what He did to Adam and Eve. He just tempted them. He didn’t make them sin.

He just tempted them. And see, when we read this episode, like He says in Matthew 4, verse 3, when the tempter came to Him, Jesus, He said, As if to say, well, I am the Son of God. But He doesn’t do that.

But He says, And see, if Jesus would have done that, I mean, we know that He makes bread from other pieces of bread. We know He makes fish from other fish. He turned water into wine.

He did healings. He could do it. He could have turned these stones into bread.

But had He done it, Satan won. Satan would have won, and the game is over, to have listened to one of His commands. See, what we don’t realize that in our very lives, that what is at stake is that every word of God must be found true.

Every event must be answered according to His righteousness. And that no matter what is thought or planned, it will come true. Because if it doesn’t, God is a liar, that’s abomination.

But that’s what Satan is looking for, for any avenue, because he knows his time is short. And so God has written it down, and that’s what Jesus said in Matthew 4, verse 4, But He answered and said, That’s found in Deuteronomy 8, verse 3. It’s written down, so that when the temptation would come, and when the tempter would come, it’s written. Man’s not going to live by bread alone.

In fact, bread will not sustain you spiritually. You need spiritual bread, not just the physical bread. We all need to eat, but if you don’t have any spiritual bread, you will actually dwindle.

You will struggle. And I find that even in my own life, is that if I’m not spending time in the Word, and praying, my faith goes down. And when struggles come, well, why is it coming upon me? It’s that Satan is out there to tempt, to pull you away, and if he can pull you away from the one who loves you, then you won’t share Jesus.

You won’t know the power, you won’t know the authority, you won’t have that joy, you won’t be rejoicing. But when Jesus Christ is on your lips, and on your heart, your soul, your mind, as you study the Word, Lord, show it to me. Because I teach about creation, knowing your Creator.

I teach about Israel. You know, it has an everlasting love, and an everlasting covenant. And if he gets rid of that one, when does he get rid of this one? And that’s the church.

So when would he get rid of that? If he couldn’t trust them on Israel for everlasting, how could we trust them as the head of the church? But then I teach about doctrine, and theology. I teach about the family, and missions, and evangelism, and prophecy. And then last of all, I teach the gospel.

That is from Genesis to Revelation. It’s Isaiah chapter 46, verses 9 and 10. He says, Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is none else.

For I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning. From eternity end, from the eternity beginning. And that he’s everything.

In the Hebrew we say, Emet, truth. It starts with Aleph, and ends with Atav. It’s the first and last letter.

That’s what we’re going to read about the Lord Jesus. He’s the first and the last. And that he declares the end.

When you get to Revelation chapter 22 and 21, and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. That’s the end.

But he declares that from the beginning. In Hebrew we say, Barashit, in the beginning. Barashit is one word made up of three.

Bar is son. Ish is man. Teh is the mark of the cross.

It’s about a son, a man, and a cross. That when Jesus hangs on the cross, and Matthew’s a cult, and he says, It is finished. You notice that he doesn’t tell you what’s finished? It is about the son, man, cross.

It’s finished. You can’t add to it. You can’t decrease it.

You can’t assume it. It’s from Genesis to Revelation. It’s eternity to eternity, with arms stretched out, as we read in the book of Isaiah.

And that they’re welcoming arms. They’re forgiving arms. They’re helpful arms.

They’re comforting arms. You know, leaning on the everlasting arms. I mean, it takes on a whole new perspective.

It’s that they’re out there, stretched out. You can hang on to them. Pastor Glenn, I was wondering, do you know the Jesus handshake? Here, let me show this to you.

Everybody watch this handshake. So you’ve got to turn sideways here, and you’re just going to grab my arm like this. Okay? Now let go.

Now just let go. Jesus won’t let you go. That’s a Jesus handshake.

You know? You can count on those everlasting arms. You know, that through the years, Pastor Glenn and I have got to know each other, you know, off and on at different conferences. And when we had the conferences here, you know, it was just a thrill and a joy, you know, to hear the Word of God.

And he would come up to the Winnipeg one, and sometimes he’d bring back Menno Kalasher from Israel, and he would speak here. And so we got to know each other, got to pray for each other. And I’m just so encouraged, is that we’re leaning on the everlasting arms.

We’re preaching the same gospel. There’s only one gospel. There’s only one Lord.

There’s only one God. There’s only one faith. There’s only one baptism.

And we’re told that in Ephesians chapter 4. Is that Satan was trying to tempt Jesus into doing something else, to deceive him. But the Lord Jesus knows everything about him, because he made him as well. And though Satan has talked a third of the angels out of heaven, and their destination will be the lake of fire one day, how many billions of people has he talked into the lake of fire from off of mankind? And who’s going to believe it unless we tell it of that which is written? Are we excited about our faith? Are we being challenged by our faith? Are we growing in our faith? Or are we just maintaining our faith? If you never tell anybody about Jesus, you’re kind of just in maintenance mode.

I can tell you a lot of people don’t want to hear it. I’ve got lots of family members. I’ve got relatives.

I’ve got children, grandchildren. And do they want to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ? Do they want to know where they’re going to spend eternity? Most people don’t. So you only have two choices in this world.

It’s heaven or the lake of fire. If you want to go to the lake of fire, you don’t have to make any choices. You just do whatever you want.

Just don’t ever accept Jesus. Never get excited about the faith. And just go that way.

You’ll drift there. All mankind, that’s the destiny of all man. But if you want to go to heaven, you have to make a choice now, today, because it’s written.

It’s not just by physical bread. It’s by the spiritual bread. It’s about Jesus Christ when he says in John 6, I am the bread of life.

We must partake of that bread if we want to live forever. In fact, if you just turn to John 6, and he makes this, verse 53, Then said Jesus, Verily, verily, I say unto you, except you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, that’s our communion, the bread and the cup, you have no life in you. Whosoever eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day, for my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

We’re not becoming cannibals, it’s symbolic, to represent his body and his blood. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father, so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

This is the bread which came down from heaven, not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth of this bread shall live forever. And so that when we’ve asked Jesus to be our Lord and Savior, and we now partake of the communion, we’re telling the whole world, because of what Jesus did for me on that cross, because it was written from Genesis chapter 1, is that he was coming down.

He was going to die before Adam and Eve even would sin. He knew what you and I would be, and the conditions that we would live in. He has a desire that you would spend eternity with him.

I’ve gone to prepare a place for you that where I am there he may be also. He wants you there. And so Satan tries to deceive him, but he’s not done.

And he’s never done. In fact, until the moment that you take your last breath, he will not be done with you and me either. It says in Matthew 4 verse 5, Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city.

That’s in Jerusalem. It’s on Mount Moriah. It’s the cornerstone.

Jesus, the cornerstone, stood on the cornerstone. All things are held together there. In Ezekiel 5 verse 5, it says that Jerusalem is the center of the world.

It holds all things together. And he saith unto him on the pinnacle of the temple, and he said unto him, If thou be the Son of God. See, he’s not done with this.

Jesus is the Son of God. When the high priest said, By the living God, tell us if thou be the Son of God. And he said, You shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven.

And the high priest, he ripped his robe. And he said, Blasphemy. And see, when he did that, he stripped himself of the high priest robe.

He was not allowed to tear that garment. It is a holy garment. But he tore it.

Why? Because another priest was stepping in to intercede on our behalf. And so Satan is now tempting him again. He said, Cast thyself down on this holy mountain, in this holy city, where everything was held together.

Just cast yourself down. It’s written. Satan even says it’s written.

He had no problem talking to Jesus. He doesn’t fear anything. But there will come a day when he will be feared when he has to go to the lake of fire.

But he’s looking for every venue, every avenue, to stop God’s program. And he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and their hands shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou shalt dash thy foot against a stone. And he leaves out a portion of Scripture because he misquotes Scripture.

He’s out to deceive. He’s left out to keep thee in all thy ways. That’s found in Psalms 91 verses 11 and 12.

And then Jesus said, It is written. Because it’s always written. Jesus said unto him, verse 7, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

That’s found in Deuteronomy 6 verse 16. The devil, he’s not done. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceedingly high mountain and showeth all the kingdoms of the world and the glories of them.

And he said unto them, All these things will I give thee if thou wilt fall down and worship me. See, if Jesus would have accepted that, Satan won. At any pinnacle, if he had jumped off the pinnacle, Satan wins.

If he worships him, because he takes all the nations, he didn’t have to die. See, this is what most people don’t realize is that Satan is at the charge and at the head of every nation. He took it from Adam and Eve.

God gave it to them. He lost it in the garden. Jesus doesn’t fall down for this.

Because one day it says in Revelation that all the kingdoms of this world will be the kingdom of our Lord. It’s coming, a day. And then Jesus says, That said Jesus unto them, Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and worship Him only.

That’s found in Deuteronomy 6, 13 and 14. It’s written. You’re to worship Him.

The reason that you come even here this morning but the reason that you’re in this world is to worship Him. You’re to give Him glory. It may not go well for you.

It may not be the best for you. It may not be easy for you. But the reason that you’re here is for the glory of God.

The very breath, the next breath that you take is for the glory of God. You know, I was up in Guatemala. I was preaching up there.

I was going to a service and as we were walking, we didn’t have the luxury of some of the vehicles. We were walking to get to this church. And all of a sudden, I went down on my knees.

Because I had been walking, I took a step and I went, Huh! And I took the next step, Huh! And there was no breath. And I went down on my knees and I wasn’t praying. I should have been praying but it happened so quickly that with two breaths, I was down on my knees.

And it was when I got down on my knees that I took my next breath. And for the first time, I said, thank you Lord for my breath. How many people believe that your next breath is your favorite? I had never thought that way before.

But now I’m very thankful for the next breath. And that it doesn’t belong to me. It is the breath of God that was breathed into me.

What will I do with it? In His holiness, in His majesty, in His reverence, as we were singing, that we would be singing Hallelujah and praise the Lord and glory to the Lord Jesus for everything that we do, for everything that we get, for everything, how we can help, where we can go, is that we’re glorifying Him. We’re excited about our next place with the next breath. It’s written.

And then verse 11 says, The devil leaveth him and behold, angels came and ministered unto him. The angels are ministering spirits. We’re told that in the book of Hebrews, chapter 1. Is that when we declare Jesus Christ, whether it’s good, hard, easy, bad, and we declare Him, Satan does not like it.

He will leave you alone and the angels will minister. And it says that they minister unto us. Those that have the hope.

We don’t even sometimes know who they are. They just show up. I’ve had a few incidents in my life and it made me ponder.

I was in Banff, Canada, Alberta and a vehicle broke down. And if it’s me that’s going to fix it, we’re in trouble. I’m not mechanical.

I’m not carpentry, plumbing, electrical. I’m in trouble. And the people with me, we were in trouble because they didn’t know anything either.

They probably even knew less than me. And here we are, broke, and it’s wintertime. And I popped the hood open and I’m looking into the hood and everything looked fine to me.

But it ain’t starting. And a man walked out of the bush, right where we were. And he says, take me into town.

I says, I can’t take you into town. The car don’t work. He said, close the hood.

It’ll start. And I’m thinking, what does this guy know? And so I closed the hood and I said, Lord, what am I supposed to do? And so I turned the key and it started. And we drove back into town.

Now I don’t know if that was an angel or not, but he seemed to know something about the vehicle. He knew that it would start. Take me into town.

When he got out of the vehicle, I just happened to look, there was a vehicle coming, I looked off to my left and when I looked off to the right, he was gone. So I don’t know what that was. But it might have been an angel because he was there to minister and it helped me at that time.

And so they do come. He promised that. It’s written.

I didn’t know if it was or not. And maybe it will. Maybe we’ll find out one day.

But there’s lots of things written in the Scriptures. Let’s go to Exodus chapter 31. Exodus 31 and verse 18.

And here’s Moses. He’s receiving the Ten Commandments. It’s a summary of the 613 commandments.

It’s written on two tablets of stone. And he says in chapter 31 verse 18, And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of commuting with him upon Mount Sinai, two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. Well, let’s go back to Exodus chapter 20.

And here we find the Ten Commandments. And now they’re written on two tablets of stone. But here he was just giving to them.

And in Exodus 31 verse 18 he wrote it down. But he says, people always have to start off with the wrong commandment. They always start off, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images or any likeness of anything that’s in heaven above.

Well, that’s not the first commandment. The first commandment is when God, verse 20, verse 1, says, God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, and thou shalt have no other gods before me. The first one is, I am the Lord thy God.

The second one is, thou shalt not have no other gods before me, verse 3 and 4. It’s got to be about God. Jesus says this in Luke chapter 24, 44 and 45. These are the words that I spoke unto you.

The law, the prophets, and the writings. And then he opened up their minds to understand the scripture concerning me. Concerning Jesus.

And here’s the law. The ten commandments. And as you go through them, you look at chapter 20, verse 11, For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, and the rest of the seventh day wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hollowed it.

He made it in six days. Some people in Canada, some of our people that claim to be Christians, they say, well, maybe God used evolution. Well, you didn’t read the Bible.

It’s written here. And it was with the hand of God that he wrote this on the ten commandments that he created the heavens and the earth in six days. I always like talking with evolutionists.

I always like to leave something with them. They usually get talking about the Grand Canyon or Carlsbad Caverns, and they’ve got their big signs up there, millions and billions of years. And I was talking to my son Michael.

We were at Carlsbad Cavern. And we had been to the Colorado River and to Grand Canyon. And so I was telling Michael, I said, isn’t that amazing? They’ve got that big same sign as they have here at the Grand Canyon, down here at Carlsbad.

And one of the local rangers, he’s loaded with a gun. He’s got a gun. He takes his hat off and he says to everybody, shh, this is a father-son time.

He’s explaining about evolution to his son. And he wants everybody to be quiet in his group as I’m going to talk to my son. And I said, isn’t this amazing that they’ve got the same sign.

I said, it’s too bad they didn’t go to Mount St. Helens. Because the Grand Canyon, they say it’s over millions of years, a small amount of water over a long period of time. And I said, we know that at Mount St. Helens, it happened in six days.

And they’ve got the same rock layers as they do at the Grand Canyon. And it all happened in six days. And all of a sudden, okay everybody, let’s go.

Everybody, let’s go. Come on, we’ve got to get out of here. And he’s going on their tour.

He didn’t like the creation story. And I said, isn’t it amazing? As they were leaving, it’s the same time period as in the days of creation when God created it. And I said, they should check out Exodus 20, verse 11.

And that’s how that story ended. They don’t like those stories. They want their millions and billions of years.

Because see, if you believe in evolution, you’re just a bunch of random molecules that you’ve somehow come together. You know, Pastor Glenn, the way you look. And you lucked out.

You’re lucky that your eye didn’t end up on your big toe. You know, and all of a sudden, ah! I just stubbed my eye. You know, it would be so silly.

But they say, no purpose, no reason, no understanding of why you’re here. And yet God says, as He wrote it down in Psalms 139, verse 15 and 16, you’re fearfully and wonderfully made. I wrote it all down in a book.

There’s a plan. There’s a purpose. There’s a reason for you here.

And it’s for His glory, so that you’ll spend eternity with Him. That’s God’s purpose for your life. And so it’s all written.

But they don’t want to believe that. Let’s go to Daniel chapter 5. Daniel chapter 5 and verse 5. Now, as I set the precedent for this, is that in Daniel chapter 3, verse 20 and 25, is that Michiel, Ereziah, and Ereziah, they’ve been thrown into the fiery furnace. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

And yet, He said, did we not throw three into the fiery furnace? And yet there’s a fourth. And He’s like the Son of God. In the Hebrew, it’s Bar Elohim.

It’s not Bar Elohim, Son of Gods. Elohim is Gods. It’s a plural word used singular.

But here it is singular. It is Elohim. Bar Elohim.

God, the Son, singular. We’re all going to become sons of God, but this is the Son of God singular. And that Nebuchadnezzar, the father of Belshazzar, he saw those things.

The stories went everywhere. Here were three men that were not burnt in the fire. Everyone else was burnt because he had heated it up seven times hotter.

And now his father, we’re not sure what happened to Nebuchadnezzar at this time, but the king, Belshazzar of Babylon, he’s now eating and drinking, and it tells us in verse 3 that they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God, which was at Jerusalem. And the king and his princes and wives and his concubines drank in them. They drank wine and praised the God of gold, the silver, brass, iron, wood and stone.

In the same hour came fingers of a man’s hand rolled over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Then the king’s countenance was changed and his thoughts troubled him so that the joints of his knees were loosened and his knees smote one another, or against one another. He was afraid.

He was shaking. I remember the first time I ever got behind a pulpit. I was so glad that the pulpit was here because otherwise they would have saw my knees just as shaken.

And there’s still even a little bit of a fear of God when I come. I struggle a few times in the first few moments because to preach and to get behind this pulpit, there’s a fear of God. I’m not perfect.

I don’t have it all together. I’ve asked Him to be my Lord and Savior. I’ve asked Him to guide me, to direct me, to help me.

But to have that fear of God that’s healthy, not to trust in myself. But this man, he had trusted in himself and he’s shaking. And they finally go get Daniel because they said that in Nebuchadnezzar’s days, there was this man that could tell you what these things were.

And so he says in chapter 5, verse 22, And thou, O son Belshazzar, hast thou not humbled thy heart, though thou knewest all these things? Knoweth what? But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven, and they have brought the vessels of the house before thee, and thou and thy lords and thy wives and the concubines have drunk wine in them. And thou hast praised the gods of silver, of gold, of brass, of iron, wood, and stone, and see not, nor hear, nor know. And the God in whose hands thy breath is, and that’s what I was saying, the breath of God, and whose are all his ways, hast thou not glorified? Then that was the part of the hand sent from him, from God, and this writing was written, and this is the meaning was written, And this is the interpretation, he’s been measured, it’s weighed, and he’s found in the balance, and that the kingdom of God

Though thou knewest all these things, knoweth what? But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven, and they have brought the vessels of the house before thee, and thou and thy lords and thy wives and the concubines have drunk wine in them, and thou hast praised the gods of silver, of gold, of brass, of iron, wood, and stone, and would not, and see not, nor hear, nor know. And the God in whose hands thy breath is, and that’s what I was saying, the breath of God, and whose are all his ways, has thou not glorified? Then that was the part of the hand sent from him, from God, and this writing was written, and this is the meaning, was written, Mene, mene, telki, atfarsin, and this is the interpretation, he’s been measured, is weighed, and he’s found in the balance, and that the kingdom of Babylon would disappear that night, as Cyrus and Darius would come to rule over it. They saw the hand of God.

Moses saw the hand of God as he wrote the Ten Commandments. Here they’re seeing the hand of God on the plaster. But I wanted to turn to John chapter 8, and here we find the Lord Jesus, God in the flesh, as it says in John 1, 1, In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God.

John 1, 14, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory and truth. And so now here’s Jesus up on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, on the Mount of Olives, he’s standing there looking over, and it says in verse 1, Jesus went on to the Mount of Olives, and early in the morning he came again into the Temple, that’s Mount Moriah, that’s in Jerusalem. Pastor Glenn, I know you’ve been there.

And it says, All the people came unto him, and he sat down and taught them. And the scribes and the Pharisees brought in a woman, taken in adultery, and when they set her in the midst, they said unto him, Master, Jesus, this woman was taken in adultery in the very act of the Ten Commandments, thou shalt not commit adultery. Now Moses in the law commanded us that such should be stoned, but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him.

They couldn’t care less about this woman. In fact, they caught her in the very act. Where did that man disappear to? You can’t do this by yourself.

I believe it was a Pharisee. They let the Pharisee go. Either that or he had the fastest tennis shoes, running shoes, in all of Israel.

And they couldn’t catch him. Maybe he might even have some power back on his shoes, and he just scooted right out of there, you know, and got away. But they did it to accuse him.

But Jesus stooped down and with his finger rode on the ground as though he’d heard them not. Here’s God, in the flesh, writing in the dust of the earth. And what did he write? Well, let’s read what he writes.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up and he said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her. What did he write? The Ten Commandments. How do we know that? Because the Ten Commandments deal with adultery, and he that is without sin comes from the commandments.

That’s Romans chapter 7. Without the commandments, there’s no sin. You know, if there’s no stop signs, there are no signs telling you the speed, and somebody pulls you over, well, there’s no signs, didn’t tell me where, you know. They may not agree with you, but you at least have an argument.

There’s no signs. But once the signs go up, you know, and now you break it, now you’re accountable. Well, these men were being accountable.

They were going to stone her, tempting Jesus. Because how would they tempt Jesus? Well, Jesus, this woman was caught in the very act. What do you say we do with her? Well, if Jesus said, let her go.

Oh, because of your love, now we can stone you, because you’re a heretic. And they would have stoned him right in front of all the people right there. Or if he would have said on the other side, well, the law says that, you know, that if you commit adultery, you shall be stoned.

And they would have said to him in front of all the people, Jesus, where’s all this love that you preach? See, either way, they’re trying to take him out of the picture. Why? Because they see that their positions are in jeopardy. If he is who he says he is, if he’s God, if he’s the Son of God, he’s the King, he’s the Savior, he’s the Redeemer, he’s going to take away our positions.

Why? Because they didn’t belong there in the first place. These are not Levitical priests. These are people who have bought their priesthood.

And if they’d had any Levitical in them, they still had bought their place. They didn’t belong where they belonged. It was through Aaron’s line.

And yet, and God lays it out in 1 Chronicles 24, the 24 divisions of the priesthood. These men had bought it through Pilate, through Herod, through some of the other leaders. They didn’t belong there.

And that’s why they saw Jesus as a part of someone they had to get rid of. And so he wrote on the ground, and he wrote the Ten Commandments down, because it’s the commandments that say, if you’re without sin, hey, you can go stone this person. But as soon as he says it, he says in verse 8, and again, he stooped down and he wrote on the ground.

With the finger of God, he wrote it in the ground. Now what did he write? He wrote their names down. Let’s go to Jeremiah, hold on to John 8, but let’s go to Jeremiah 17, verse 13, because see, it’s written, Jeremiah 17, verse 13, O Lord, the hope of Israel, remember the Apostle Paul said, I’m in chains for the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.

They would be written in the earth. Here’s Jesus writing them in the earth. Why would they be written in the earth? Because they’ve forsaken the fountain of living water.

Let’s just go back to John 7, verse 37-39, it’s at the Feast of Booth’s Tabernacles. It’s on that great day, it’s when Jesus received his name, on the great day of God, the last day. And in that last day, it says, That great day of the feast Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.

He that believeth on me, as the scripture has said, remember, the scriptures are written, Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. They have forsaken the fountain of living water. Their names would be written in the dust of the earth.

Here, he’s the fountain of living water. But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive, for the Holy Ghost was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. And so, here’s the fountain of living water, and they’ve rejected him.

And he writes their names in the dust of the earth. Now see what happens in verse 9. John chapter 8, verse 9. And when they heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

See, their conscience got to them. How did their conscience get to them? Because the law said. Their names were written in the dust.

And they were guilty. They were found guilty, because it’s written by the hand of God. But the woman.

Verse 10. Jesus lifted up himself and saw none, but the woman. He said unto her, Woman, where are thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord.

And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more. See, we know John 3.16, for God still loved the world.

But do we know John 3.17, for God did not send his Son into this world to condemn, but to save. It’s a fulfillment here. He didn’t condemn her.

He could have. He was the only one that could have picked up a stone and stoned her for her adultery. But he’s also the only one that could have forgave her.

And he did. Go sin no more. And that’s the message that we need to tell other people.

You know, how shall they hear unless somebody be sent? And how shall they go unless they preach? And if they won’t preach, Jesus Christ, how will they get saved? How will they know? Isaiah preaches the gospel. It says that in Romans 10. And yet, how many people believed in the days of Isaiah? Do you know the gospel that Isaiah preaches? Let’s just turn there very quickly.

Isaiah 52. And we’ll begin with verse 6. Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore they shall know in that day that I am.

Jesus said in John 8.58, before Abraham was, I am. And he does speak. Behold, it is I. It is Jesus speaking here.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings. The HaBasara. If I take HaBasara and I put that into the English, it’s also the word gospel.

It’s like the Greek word evangelium. Good tidings. Glad tidings.

The gospel. That publishes peace. That bringeth good tidings.

The HaBasara, the gospel of good. That publishes salvation. This is the Hebrew word Yeshua.

63 times this word is found. You can find it in Genesis 49.18 when Jacob is talking to his 12 sons and he says, I have waited for thy salvation, thy Yeshua, thy Jesus, O Lord. He says it in Isaiah.

He says it in Psalms 3.8. Salvation, Yeshua, Jesus, belongs unto the Lord. 63 times. You can look at it in a strong concordance.

Look up the word salvation. Look for the number that says 3444. And just look it down.

That’s Jesus. That’s Yeshua. That’s why Jesus said, It speaks of me.

The law, the prophets and the writings. And he says, Say unto Zion, Thy God reigneth. I’m a Zionist.

Not just because I’m Jewish and a Christian. I’m a Zionist because my God is. That’s where he planted itself.

He set a firm foundation in Zion on Mount Moriah. The Temple Mount. Thy watchmen shall lift up thy voice, and with the voice together shall they sing.

And they shall see eye to eye when the Lord shall bring again Zion. May 14th, 1948. You could have been an all-millennialist up until then.

Not that it would have been right. But you could have been. But in 1948.

And people say, Well, maybe they’re not the Jews. Or maybe they’re not the people that God rescued. If they’re not the people that God rescued, then where are they? You know? Break forth into joy.

We were singing that song about rejoice. And again, rejoice. Sing together.

You waste places of Jerusalem. And when you go to Jerusalem, and I hope that you’ll get to go there. It’s the best Bible school education you’ll ever get.

And you don’t have to go there to read it, to believe your Bible. But I can tell you, once you’ve been there, you’ll never read your Bible the same way again. It says, For the Lord has comforted his people.

That’s Israel. He has redeemed Jerusalem. That’s his city.

The city he chose. He says that in 2 Chronicles 3 and 6. The Lord has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of Yeshua, the Jesus of our God.

All the ends. And we’re hearing it. You know, I love going to India.

We’ve got a training center there now. We’ve got pastors, 450 pastors that I’ve been working with. And training them and encouraging them.

We built the training center. And these are men that get paid $20 a month. And they’re willing to die for what they believe.

When I came back, I was changed. Lord, I want to be like these pastors. I want to believe.

I want to accept that when they pray, they see God’s answering prayers. We don’t deserve it. But God listens when we call upon the name of Jesus.

In fact, that’s John 14, verse 13. And so, that they’re willing to die to preach this gospel. Thomas was one of those men.

The Apostle Thomas went to India. He was murdered in India. Seven churches were established by Thomas.

And today, there are many thousands and thousands of pastors and churches in India. But it’s like a drop in a bucket when you compare it 1.5 to 1.6 billion people. Many are Hindus and Buddhists.

Like in China, 1.6 billion Chinese. So many people that are going to be lost. Unless someone goes and preaches.

And so, we’re praying for them. We’re doing a fundraiser coming up, trying to raise funds for these pastors. Is that all the eyes would see Jesus? How important it is to see Jesus? To know the blessed eyes.

As we’re told in the book of Matthew. That there’s blessed eyes. I hope that you have blessed eyes.

Because he says that in John 3, verse 3. Unless you’re born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God. Oh, to have blessed eyes to see that kingdom. John 3, verse 5. Unless you’re born again, you will not enter in.

That you physically will not be out there. In a twinkling of an eye, you’ll be changed. In a twinkling of an eye, you’ll see Jesus.

In a twinkling of an eye, you’ll be with the saints. And I just want you to know that I’ve ordered steak. With mushrooms and potatoes.

Some people say, I don’t like mushrooms. I said, it’s okay, you’re going to be changed. You’ll like them.

I don’t know if we’re having mushrooms. But I know we’re having steak. Matthew 22, verse 4. Jesus said, I’ve killed my fat at auction.

They always say that the best meat is 28 days. This is meat that’s been prepared for you for almost 2,000 years. What a day that’s going to be.

In Revelation 1, verse 19. The Lord Jesus is telling John to write these things down. He says in verse 18, I am that I am.

I am He that liveth and was dead. And behold, I’m alive forevermore. Amen.

And have the keys of hell and death. And write these things which thou hast seen. The things which are.

The things which shall be hereafter. The things that you have seen, that’s the past. The things that are, that’s the present.

And the things hereafter, that’s the future. Write them down. So that you and I, as we read it, the words of Jesus, is that we can be assured of our salvation.

That we can have this hope. We’re going to spend eternity with Him. And that His plan was for all, whosoever will.

Because He desires that none should perish. And so that we would tell others this wonderful news. And I just got a list of them.

Here, you can go check them out in Ephesians chapter 2 and 3. It’s to the seven churches. The seven churches were found in the menorah. That’s in Revelation chapter 1 and verse 12 and 13.

He said, I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candles. And in the midst of the seven candlesticks, one like the son of man, clothed with a garment, down to the foot, and gird about the paths with a golden girdle.

And it describes Him. But in verse 20 it says, The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks which thou seest are the seven churches.

And He says this to the seven churches. If you’re going to be an overcomer, Revelation 2.7, eat of the tree of life in the paradise of God. Revelation 2.11, you’re not going to be hurt by the second death.

And that’s Revelation chapter 20. You’re going to be with Him. It won’t affect you.

Revelation 2.26, power over the nations. Why? Because we’re going to reign with Him as kings and priests. We didn’t deserve it.

There’s nothing that I did that all of a sudden God said, Look what he’s done. I think I’ll make him a king. No, He promised it.

He said in Romans 5.8, God demonstrated His love towards us. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. This is the promise.

And the hope that we have. Revelation 3.5, the church of Philadelphia, given white raiment, not blotted out of the book. Some people think that you can be blotted out of the book.

That if you were serious with God, and you asked forgiveness of your sins, and asked Him to be Lord and Savior, He promises not to blot you out of the book. Keep short accounts of sin. Make things right.

If it’s against God, do it right away. If it’s against another saint, do it right away. Don’t hold on to it.

Don’t let time slip away. If it’s with your family, get right. You’re going to miss all the blessings.

I’ve been there. I’ve missed many blessings because I was so foolish. And I didn’t take God seriously.

But He’s promised that He won’t blot us out of the book. What a hope we have. Revelation 3.12, we’re going to meet a pillar in the temple of God.

That’s 1 Timothy 3.15. And then finally, Revelation 3.21, we’re going to sit on a throne. Because as He sat on His Father’s throne, He’s given the invitation to whosoever, that if you follow Me, believe in Me, trust Me, be the ambassador that you were meant to be, you will sit on a throne with Him. So I want to end now with Revelation 21.5-7. I’m going to turn there, but you also have it in your notes here.

Revelation 21.5. We’ve seen a new heaven and a new earth. There’s a new Jerusalem. All the things are going to pass away.

There’s no more death. But this is what He says. This is Jesus saying this.

Revelation 21.5. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write, for these words are true and faithful. And He said unto me, It is done.

I am Elphan Omega, the beginning and the end. And I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Just as they rejected Him in John 7, the invitation is still to come and drink from this fountain of water and life freely.

The woman at Samaria, He said, give me something to drink. And she says, that’s in John 4, You have nothing to draw water with. If you only knew who it was that said it unto you, I would have given you waters of living water.

And she said, give me that water. I hope that that’s the water you want. Because that water you’ll never thirst again.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and He shall be my Son. This is a promise. See, and it’s both male and female.

The females are going to be sons. It says that in John 1, 12. For as many as believed on Him, He gave them the right to become the sons of God.

Male and female. Why? Because in Genesis 1, 26, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, made He them male and female. He made one gender, with two parts.

Male and female. There’s coming a day when we accept Jesus Christ, Galatians chapter 3, it says that there’s neither male nor female. That we’re one in Christ.

And that we’re to build each other up in His most holy faith. I always love how Jesus treats the women. He always elevates them.

I mean, it doesn’t sound like, when He’s talking to the Syrophoenician woman. And she says, you know, that she would like some crumbs. You know, some bread.

And He says, shall I give the bread of the children, you know, to the dogs? And Jesus calls a woman a dog. Because the Gentiles were referred to as dogs. That’s found in Genesis, I mean, Psalms chapter 22.

When the dogs encompass Him. And it would be the Gentiles, not the Jews. The Jews might as well have done it.

You know, we were just as guilty. But we turned them over to the Gentiles. And Jesus says in Matthew chapter 20, verse 18 and 19, that the priests would deliver Him over.

And that it would be the Gentiles that would mock Him and scourge Him and crucify Him. But here He talks to this woman. And she says, but even the dogs eat the crumbs off the children’s table.

And Jesus elevates this woman and says, there is no greater faith in all of Israel than this woman right beside me. He always elevates the people. In fact, He wants to elevate you and me.

So that we would realize that we’re going to inherit all things. We don’t have to be afraid of what’s coming. It’s not that we don’t have sorrow when someone leaves us.

It’s just that our hope is built and fixed on Jesus Christ, on the authority. And you’re going to inherit what He promised. I’m looking forward to that day.

And so my question for you, are you ready for this journey? It is written. There’s coming a day when we shall see Him. There’s coming a day when we’ll hear that trumpet sound.

There’s coming a day that if I have to go through the grave, that in a moment’s notice, like He told the murdering thief on the cross, this day you’ll be with me in paradise. I’m going to spend eternity with Jesus. I hope to see you all there.

I hope you have a wonderful life here. And may you have a godly, blessed life in eternity. Let’s pray.

Heavenly Father, as we step into Your presence once more, we are so grateful for Your love that would send Your Son. We’re so grateful for Your Holy Spirit that He was the author of all Scripture, that He authorized and wrote this stuff down so that as we read it about You, Father, and about the Lord Jesus, Your Son, that we would understand the plan, the purpose, the reason, the hope that we have, and that there would be joy, that we would understand the hope, but most importantly, we’d understand Your love, for that’s one of the greatest gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the love and joy and hope. Lord, I just thank You because of the opportunity we have to come and worship You with song, to hear Your Word, and to praise You as we were singing.

Lord, that our voices would continue to lift up. We’d continue to rejoice. We’d continue to believe that as it is written, so it shall be.

And so, Father, I just pray a blessing on each one that is here this morning. Lord, we pray for Pastor Glenn and Roberta. We pray that, Lord, that this situation that arose in regards to them not going on their trip, we look dimly through the mirror, but, Lord, You had knew the purpose and the plans, and that there was a reason that they were to be here.

And so, Lord, I pray for Roberta, that, Lord, for her back, and, Lord, I just pray that You would be with her and help her, Lord, to overcome some of the pain and be able to have a good night’s rest as she’s not been sleeping well because of the pain. And that, Lord, that if it be Your will, that You would work something out for them to go to Israel. Lord, I pray for Valerie, too, that, Lord, that as a woman who is in trouble, in need, and needing the gospel but needing physical attention as well, and that, Lord, that things have been taken from her, and that, Lord, that she’ll need You to draw near.

And, Lord, that You had a plan, even in spite of that, and yet, Lord, so often we walk away thinking that we can either do it or that we can maybe do it better or that we can maybe do it better. Only to find out that we’ve needed You all the time just as we need You in our very breath. And so, Lord, as it is written, I pray that You would bring it to our hearts, our minds, our souls, and that we would know Jesus Christ as our power and our authority.

And that, Lord, that if the opportunity comes that we would share Jesus with those that are lost. For those that are not saved, I pray that, Lord, that they would understand who they are and that they’re fearfully and wonderfully made and that they would understand eternity and that You have prepared a place for them. As You said in John 14.1, You believe in God, believe also in Me.

In My Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you that where I am, there He may be also.

Lord, I know that You desire that all should come. And yet, Lord, each one has to make that decision for themselves. And, Lord, maybe we are saved, but we’ve just not been excited.

I pray, Lord, that You would put it upon their hearts to get to know You, to love You, to serve You. For the greatest is to love. The greatest is to know.

The greatest is to serve. The One who loves us and knows all about us. And so, Lord, I pray a blessing on the young families as well.

And that, Lord, that You would just be with them as they raise their children, that they would know Jesus Christ in a world that is so troubled, in a country that is having so many issues, just like we do in our own country. And that, Lord, that because of what You can do, that someone might come to know You, though we can’t save anyone, but Your Holy Spirit can. And so, Lord, we just give You the majesty.

We ask for Thy glory to be given You. And we pray for a blessing that as we go our separate ways, that You’d use us until we meet again and until eternity starts. We just want to say thank You, Jesus.

In Jesus’ precious name, Amen. Have a wonderful day in the Lord Jesus. Thank you for having me.
