2 Samuel 5:1-6, David Anointed King Over Israel

Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh. 2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the Lord said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel. 3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made…

James 4:17 thru 5:1-6, Responsibility

17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. 1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 17 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. There is a multi-layered…

Values today seem to be driven by whoever has the power and access to the loudest voice at any given moment. At the heart of this shift from absolutes to moral relativism is the church. There is a movement that has infiltrated Christianity that has…

Why do we believe what we believe?

There are questions that we should all take time to ponder and ask ourselves.  Three of these questions I would challenge you to think about are: Why do we believe what we believe? Who influenced us to believe what we believe? What gives these individuals or organizations the authority to become an influence in our lives? Many people believe what they believe because they grew up with the influence of their parents, family and friends who believed what they now…
