Daniel 12:8-13

Daniel 12:8-13

The song you just sang is a song that speaks of the rapture. And the Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians, the rapture could occur at any time. The Apostle Paul thought the rapture was going to occur during his lifetime.

He was looking for the Lord to come then. The sad thing is many Christians today aren’t looking for the Lord to come and gather his bride unto himself. As a matter of fact, many Christians don’t want him to come.

Many Christians believe that somehow we have to bring righteousness to the whole earth and then Jesus could come. Which speaks exactly against the words that Christ told the disciples as they sat on the Mount of Olives the last week of his life on this earth before he would be arrested and taken in for his mock trials, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection. He told them things were not going to get better, they were actually going to be worse.

He said that apostasy was going to be the main sign that would happen. And that apostasy means a falling away or you believed one thing but now you believe something totally different. The sad thing is the Jewish people who were given the truth, many have been walking in darkness even as the Apostle Paul says, and the light was given to the Gentiles but today you and I, the Church of Jesus Christ which consists of Jews and Gentiles that are believers in Christ, many who profess the name of Christ don’t look for his coming, don’t believe in the principles of his word, and apply many things out of context and wrong.

Today we’re looking at the last portion of the book of Daniel. As you’ve been looking at the book of Daniel, Daniel had been given a series of visions from the Lord, first of all in the beginning portion of his book that would reveal a series of nations that would rise up one after another but all which would have the same spirit, a spirit of anti-God, anti-Christ, and a spirit that would worship false gods. These nations as they would rise up one after another, we saw that the last of them would be the Roman Empire, but then there would be another nation that would rise up that would be a remnant of that and that the Roman Empire had been symbolized by two legs, but they’d been two legs of iron, but now this last nation would be two feet with ten toes, but the toes would be made of iron and clay which don’t mix well at all.

The day in which we live, not only is the book of Daniel and prophecies that he was given dealing with the last days, being evident within us what Jesus told his disciples on the Mount of Olives is being seen around the world. What John was given in the book of Revelation, what Zechariah revealed in his prophetic writings, what Isaiah proclaimed in his writings, and you can go on throughout, other prophecies given in the scriptures are being seen today. It’s interesting as we come to the last portion of the book of Daniel, last Sunday we saw that Daniel had been told that he was to seal the book and that it wasn’t going to be revealed at that time, but the time would come when it would be revealed as far as the last significant events.

We know that John, the disciple of Jesus, in the book of Revelation, Revelation means the revelation of Jesus Christ, that’s what the revelation is about. And it’s the revelation of his second coming and it’s the revelation of the events that transpire from the beginning of that book to the end that reveal all that will happen in the last days. Daniel was given an overview, but he wasn’t given the specifics that John had revealed to him.

Daniel was given some of the things, like it was revealed to him in chapter 8, that there would come a man, a man of perdition, a man that would stand against God and would stand for Satan. John refers to him as the Antichrist. I just want to read a little bit from the last portion of Daniel 12 and then we’re going to be taking a look at some other verses as we look at what Daniel has to say in these last few verses.

Let’s begin at 12, verse 8.

Daniel 12:8-13

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. 11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. But go thou thy way till the end be, for thou shalt rest and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

Let’s just bow in prayer. Lord, I pray that you would just help us to have discernment and understanding and help us to be able to see and to be like those that are wise and will have a discerning heart and not like those that are wicked and can’t understand. Lord, I pray that you would just speak to us through your Word this morning. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you would turn with me to Daniel chapter 8, I want to just look at the way that Daniel, the Lord revealed some things to Daniel in chapter 8, dealing with what we just read out of chapter 12. In chapter 8, remember Daniel was revealed this little horn, which was really the Antichrist that would rise up in the last days. He would be one that would have power over the others, the ten nations, the ten regions of the world.

He would come to power and he would take men and try to take them as far from God as he could. I want to begin reading at verse 23 of chapter number 8 of Daniel.

Daniel 8:23-27

23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. 26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. 27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

Daniel, who had been revealed many things that were amazing, all the way from the Babylonian Empire to the Medo-Persian Empire to the Grecian Empire to the Roman Empire, seeing things that he was living in. He was living in the Babylonian Empire. But the Medo-Persian Empire hadn’t come to its great power.

The Grecian Empire was nothing at this time but city-states in Greece and wasn’t a great powerful empire. Rome hadn’t even been thought of yet. Yet Daniel had seen all of these things.

But what astonished him was when he saw this last powerful prince that would come to power and would stand against the prince of princes, would stand against the king of kings, and come against the Lord Himself. And also, how he would come against the people of God and attempt to destroy them. It says that he fainted.

He was astonished. You come to chapter 12 and some of these same things are reiterated in the last few verses. It’s interesting.

A lot of people look at prophecy and they just think it’s about for Christians. But prophecy as given to the prophets was prophecy given to the nation of Israel. God has always chosen and called out Israel to be the means by which He would reveal Himself to the world.

Through this small group of descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who went into Egypt, 70 some souls, and came out a mighty nation that God had created. And that through this nation He would reveal His plan not only of salvation, but of ultimate culmination of His judgment of sin and wickedness in this world and His establishment of His eternal kingdom. And it would come through the words that would be given to the men that would write them down, the scribes and the prophets that He called out of this nation.

Today God hasn’t forgotten Israel. And we’ve been talking about this as we’ve been going through the book of Daniel and what’s really, really scary. Much of the church has forgotten Israel.

The Apostle Paul spends Romans chapters 9, 10, and 11 dealing with the whole concept of the nation of Israel in relation to the church. And he says, God has not forgotten Israel, but they as a people have been blinded that you and I could come. We’ve got a little, there’s still a few left out there, a little graph showing God’s plan and the whole 70 weeks of Daniel that are laid out before him deal with God dealing with the sin of Israel and the judgment that He brought upon Israel and the calling back of Israel and the salvation of Israel.

But there’s a space that stops after the Messiah comes at the 69th week. And all of a sudden the events and the prophecies, there’s a period of time that the 70th week doesn’t start. Why? Because when Adam sinned, he brought sin into the whole world.

Every one of his descendants was conceived and had a real problem, a sin problem. That wasn’t just a problem for the Jewish people, a branch of the descendants of Adam. It was for everyone that was in the loins of Adam at the time he sinned.

People said, well, why should I have to pay for Adam’s sin? Well, first of all, you were there. I wasn’t there. Yes, you were.

Genetically, you were there. You know, when my wife and I got married, we didn’t know we were going to have children. God gave us two girls.

But you know, the Lord knew about those two girls and half of the genetic makeup was with my wife and half of the genetic makeup was with me. And it’s amazing when the Bible reveals to us God’s plan for man and woman in the family and two flesh shall become one. It’s a beautiful picture that you get to help create new life and that out of your loins come new life.

But you know what’s interesting? Our girls have characteristics that are ours. They have some of the physical features. They have some of the physical problems.

They have some of the emotional tendencies. How can that be? Because they came from us. We came ultimately from Adam.

We were there. And when Adam sinned, he gave over his authority to Satan in this world. Willfully did it.

Satan has been warring against God ever since pride entered his heart and he said, I shall be like the most high. I listened to a guy give a sermon one time. He said, how most highs can you have? Well, just so you get the answer right, there’s only one most high.

So how can Satan say, I will be like the most high? He will not be like the most high. He cannot be the most high. He is a created being.

But ever since Satan’s pride entered his heart, he’s been at war with God. And he wars against everything that God loves. And he desires to destroy all that God did out of His love and His holiness and His truth.

It’s interesting if you look at what Daniel is seeing. He’s seeing the ultimate attack, the final attack, that Satan is raising up against God and all that God loves. Now it’s interesting with the nation of Israel that God says about the nation of Israel that there’s the apple of His eye.

Well, the Jewish people, God Himself refers to them as a stiff-necked, stubborn, hard-hearted people. I just read a little slip and it said, if you put three Jewish men together, you’ll have a giant argument and five different ideas will come out of that argument. Because they’re stiff-hearted, hard-hearted, but the problem is, so are we.

And everybody wants to project onto that which God says, I love because I created it and I understand their condition because I gave them the right to choose just like I gave you the right to choose. And they chose wrong. But I’m not done with them.

And He says, I’m going to do something amazing. I am going to make them the timepiece for when I shall return. And the events that will lead up to it, they shall be at the center of it.

And you will know that I am about to come when you see these things happen. We’ve talked before. The first thing that He said that He was going to do is He dispersed them amongst the nations.

He did that more than once. But the final dispersion was a great dispersion. It was in 70 A.D. And there was hardly any Jewish people left in Israel.

Israel ceased to be a nation that was recognizable at that time as the Roman Empire wanted it out of the way. And they did everything they could to do just that. It was fulfillment of God’s prophecy because He said that He would disperse them amongst the nations and He would not just one or two nations, but the whole world.

But as He did that, they would still remain the center of His timepiece. Now, how could they do that? My sister did what I probably wouldn’t do. She spit in a vial for ancestries.com and found out what we were all about, I guess.

And guess what? I’m a whole bunch of stuff, according to ancestries.com. English, Irish, Scottish, Norwegian, from Normandy, France, from India. And throw in a little Alskanazi or European Jew just for flavor. That is what they say my makeup is.

But the thing is, my ancestors were scattered all over the world at various times. But guess what? They never come back as an identifiable people. Where do I go? Do I go to Norway? Do I go to England? Do I go to Scotland? Where do I go? The Jewish people, even though they were scattered amongst the nations, remained an identifiable people.

Even though, as I mentioned before, if there ever was a people that should desire never to be identified, it was the Jewish people, because Satan made sure that everywhere they went, they were persecuted. Just like they are being done today, again. In Europe today, there are Jews that are being attacked for merely walking to synagogue or taking their kids to Jewish school.

Why? Oh, because they are Jews. What have they done? Nothing. Yet they remained identifiable.

They changed their names. But God said there were certain things that they were always going to do. They were always going to celebrate the Passover.

You have people, you have Jews that are not religious Jews at all today that still celebrate the Passover. Why do you celebrate the Passover? We all celebrate the Passover. Because God said they would all celebrate the Passover.

But then an amazing thing God said, I am going to hiss or whistle, and they are going to come back from the four corners of the earth. And where are they going to come back to? A little tiny spot of land in the Middle East that is the size of New Jersey. And they are going to come back there.

And I am going to make them a nation again. And when you see, Jesus said, when you see the leaves on the fig tree, know that the time is at hand. The fig tree symbolizes the Jewish nation.

What he is saying is that when the fig tree comes to fruition and begins to bud out and bear its leaves, realize the time is drawing near. In 1948 the Jewish nation became a nation. Today people say, you have got people in the church say, it is not Jewish, it is not a nation, it is Israel, it does not count.

Yet God said it would be called Israel. So this is happening. And the world is turning against Israel.

No reason they should. Israel gives us more inventions than any other nation in the world per capita. Israel has done all kinds of wonderful things.

But if you look at what Daniel is saying here, that there is going to have to be an Israel, there is going to have to be a Jerusalem, there is going to have to be a temple. Because in the last days, this man who is Satan’s man, this man who is really not only inspired, but really empowered by Satan, is going to come in and you are going to know that the final three and a half years, which we looked at last week, are going to happen when he goes into the temple and desecrates the temple. And we have been given a picture of what Antichrist Epiphanes did when he desecrated the temple.

The same thing except worse. Because this man is going to stand in the temple, desecrate the temple, speak against the prince of princes and the king of kings, and say instead, I am God. I am the most high.

And Satan is speaking through him. And that kicks off God’s final judgment on the world. Now it is interesting because Daniel wasn’t given all the signs.

Remember he was told to seal up the book and to stop. But there was coming a day when the signs would be revealed. And Daniel says in verse 10, Many will be purified and made white and tried, but the wicked shall do wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

This is scary. You read this verse, and you look at Bible prophecy, and you look at what many Christians believe today, and what camp do they fall in? The wicked or the righteous? Those that have no understanding or those that understand? I had a man that says he loves prophecy. He wants to talk about prophecy.

I just want to take us and look real quickly at a couple of verses out of Zechariah and a verse out of Ezekiel. First of all in Zechariah, remember Daniel is speaking specifically to a Jewish audience. The prophecies are dealing with the Jewish people and here he is speaking of those within the Jewish nation that some will understand and some won’t.

Just a side light I want to share with you, our church here supports some Jewish ministries that evangelize in Israel. One of those ministries, I got a report and it says they are so excited, they have never seen Arabs and Jews coming to Christ like they have been coming in the last two or three years. Pray for these ministries, pray for the Jewish and Arab people that they will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

You don’t go and get saved because you’re Jewish, you still need Jesus. And I want to read what Zechariah has to say about that in the last days. Because there are some that think being Jew is enough and it’s not.

And sad to say, there are some Christian pastors that teach that too. There’s one Christian pastor, if I gave you his name, he’s very well known, he’s got a huge ministry. He goes to Israel all the time and hobnobs with the politicians in Israel.

But he says, Jews aren’t saved by the blood of Jesus, they’re saved a different way. I’m going, I don’t know what Bible he’s reading, but it’s not my Bible. And the early church was nothing but Jewish, all of the early church in Jerusalem, they were Jews.

And then God brought in the Gentiles, you and I. But let’s turn to Zechariah. And I want to go to Zechariah 13, verses 8 and 9. In Zechariah 13, verses 8 and 9, we read the following,

Zechariah 13:8-9

And it came to pass, that in the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die, but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried, and they shall call upon My name, and I will hear them, and I will say, It is My people, and they shall say, The Lord is My God.

Who is Zechariah talking about? What land is he talking about? What nation is he talking about? Is he talking about America? America didn’t even exist when Zechariah lived. He’s talking about Israel. He’s talking about the Jewish people.

As I mentioned today, you go to Israel today, you can get in legal trouble if you share the gospel with younger kids in Israel. And you don’t have, because you, yet Israel is the only nation in the Middle East where you can be a Christian and have freedom and not be persecuted for your faith. You can try to be a Christian, like I mentioned in the prayer at the beginning of the service, in Iran, in Syria, in Beirut, and try to be a Jew in one of those countries.

There’s an interesting map. I don’t know if the one out there now has it, but we had a map that had all the Jewish people in the various Muslim countries in the Middle East that lived in those countries 100 years ago. In some of those countries, they had large Jewish populations.

Today, many of them, there’s like in, I believe it’s Syria, there’s one Jew. I may be wrong on that. I may have got the wrong country, but there’s one country where there’s one Jew.

He’s a 90-year-old man. He doesn’t want to move. The numbers of pummels, they’re not there anymore.

Christians aren’t there. So who’s Zechariah talking about? What land is he talking about? He’s talking about Israel. He’s talking about the nation of Israel.

He’s talking about the last days. He’s speaking prophetically of the last days, just as Daniel had spoken. And if you would also go with me to Ezekiel chapter 20, Ezekiel chapter 20, I want us to take a look at Ezekiel, who is also a contemporary of Daniel.

He was in Babylon as well. He went to Babylon a little later than Daniel. Daniel went with the first invasion.

Ezekiel went with the second. And Ezekiel went as a priest, one of the priestly line. Daniel went as one of the noble line.

And if you turn with me to Daniel chapter 20, verse 33, Daniel chapter 20, verse 33.

Ezekiel 20:33-39

33 As I live, saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: 34 and I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. 35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. 36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: 38 and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

They became a stiff neck. They were constantly murmuring, complaining. They were constantly coming against the leadership of Aaron and Moses. They were constantly complaining to the Lord that they didn’t have this, they didn’t have that.

They wanted to go back to Egypt. And God says, I dealt with them and I will deal with you. But there’s still a Jewish nation.

He didn’t wipe them out. Remember, he said to Moses, well, I will do one day as he said, they are complaining so much. I’m just going to get rid of all the Jews and I will make you and your descendants.

I’ll raise up a new nation out of you. Moses got on his face and pleaded with God and said, what, Lord, do not do that because in the nations of the world will look upon you and say, you just brought them out of Egypt to bring them in the wilderness and to kill them. Your word is not true.

Your promises aren’t real. You cannot do this. The Lord’s promises will be fulfilled in spite of their rebellion.

Now, Ezekiel is going on. And I will cause you to pass under the rod and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. Now, what is to be passed under the rod? In order to understand that, you have to understand shepherds.

Shepherds had a rod. The rod had two uses. There’s a staff and a rod.

And the main use of the rod was discipline, direction. You would direct the sheep with the rod. The staff had a hook on it and you gather and grab the sheep if they were in danger.

But the rod was used as a rod of discipline. And that’s why parents are told in the book of Proverbs that to spare the rod is to spoil the child. There is to be discipline in the life when the child begins to act wrongly and rebel.

You are to discipline the child to bring them back into correction that you may correct and direct their path. It doesn’t mean you beat them, but it means that you are directing them. And who’s in control? The parent or the child.

Who’s in control? God or Israel. God’s in control, not Israel. And he says, I’m going to direct you with my rod.

And he says, and I will purge out from among you the rebels. Guess what? Are there rebels in Israel? Did you know they have an LBGTQ community in Gay Pride Day in Tel Aviv? Did you know that Israel has more false religious belief systems in it? All the ones that are in the U.S. are in Israel. They’ve got New Agers.

And they’ve even taken God’s Word and have perverted it to combine it with Babylonian magic and call it Kabbalah. And many Jews today believe in Kabbalah, but don’t have any time for the Word of God. So, Israel’s got rebels.

And God says, I know who the rebels are. And I know who the ones that really want to know truth are. And I’m going to deal with the rebels.

He dealt with Korah in the wilderness. Korah was a rebel. Who was Korah? Korah was Moses’s cousin.

And Korah decided, why is Moses getting all the glory? Like, Korah didn’t understand. Moses wasn’t getting a lot of glory from the people. He was getting a lot of heartache from the people.

But Korah raised up and he caused a number of men to join with him in rebellion to overthrow Moses and Aaron’s leadership. Who had placed Moses and Aaron in leadership? God. And Korah said, well, I’m of the same line as Moses.

Why shouldn’t I be the leader? Well, it didn’t go well for Korah. He was judged. The earth opened up and swallowed him up.

God caused a supernatural judgment to come on Korah and all of those that were in rebellion with him. God knew who the rebels were. And he dealt with it.

And he says, I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn. And they shall not enter into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord.

As for you, O house of Israel. Thus saith the Lord God. Go ye, serve ye every one of his idols hereafter.

Also ye will not hearken unto me. But pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts and with your idols. And that’s what they were doing during the time of Ezekiel.

And he’s saying, you’re not going to do this anymore. Go do it and try and do it. But it’s coming a day of judgment.

And he brought them in the Babylonian judgment. He scattered them amongst the nations. But he’s bringing them back in.

And he’s bringing them back in for a purpose. And the purpose is to show not only his power, but the depth of his love and his mercy. His love and his mercy to you and me.

Because he didn’t have to put this block of time between the 69th week of Daniel when the Messiah was cut off, when Jesus died on the cross, and the 70th week of Daniel where he deals with the rebellion of Israel. He did not have to put in there just about 2,000 years of history to enable you and I to come to Christ. But going back to Adam, he didn’t say, I’m only going to give salvation to some of your descendants.

Salvation, the Messiah who would crush the serpent’s head would crush the serpent’s head for all of Adam’s descendants. And it was up to them to choose which they’d have. The crushed serpent or the Messiah that crushed his head.

Now, Israel comes back into the land. And we’re doing a study through Ezekiel on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons and Wednesday night. And we’re getting close to the part where God’s bringing them back into the land.

And he brings them back into the land. And he says, I’m going to bring them back in unbelief. They’re not going to come back setting up churches to pray to Jesus.

They’re going to come back as secular Jews, unbelief. But I’m going to change them. I’m going to slowly bring them to the point where life will be breathed into them.

And they shall acknowledge that I am God. And the ultimate way he’s going to do it is through some of the things that you’re seeing happen in the Middle East today. Everyone in the Middle East, well, not everyone, but a lot of the nations in the Middle East hate Israel.

And you’re seeing a war right now where Iran and its proxies want to wipe out Israel. They want all the Jews. They made the statement.

I didn’t. They made the statement, all the Jews should come back to Israel because then we want to get an atomic bomb. And we’ll drop one atomic bomb on Israel, a state the size of New Jersey, and we’ll be rid of the Jews forever.

They have the same mentality as Adolf Hitler. But the thing is, up until this point, Israel has an amazing air force, an amazing army, amazing weapons, and they have the US as their main ally. I don’t know if you’ve been seeing some interesting things happen in the news.

President Trump is so bent on making a deal with Iran that he keeps saying he’s drawing a line in the sand, and then they cross it, and then he backs up and draws another line in the sand. And he keeps saying the deal is coming. Actually, I just read an article that said the deal is supposed to be made today.

Signed, sealed, and delivered. And then I read another article that said Hezbollah just attacked Israel again. Israel is planning on attacking Hezbollah.

Because what would you expect us to do? I mean, Canada hasn’t launched any armaments against us since the war of 1812, I don’t think. But what would you do if all of a sudden Canada dug out all their missiles and drones and started sending them to Fargo and blowing up Fargo? What would you expect our government to do? You’d want them to go and prevent them from doing that. Well, that’s what Hezbollah is doing right now in Israel.

And that’s why the IDF and the Air Force have taken over about a third of southern Beirut where Hezbollah has been bombing, have been shooting rockets from and flying drones out of. Well, President Trump always said go for it Netanyahu, but now he’s saying hold back. Hold back, don’t send your IDF, don’t bomb Hezbollah.

Because I’ve got a deal I’ve got to make. You know I’ve got midterms coming up. I’ve got these other things.

I want to have a legacy. I don’t know what his reasoning is, but it sure is weird. But all I know is it sure looks like the U.S. is backing away from being Israel’s main ally and only ally.

So what happens when Turkey comes to the defense of Iran and Russia comes to the defense of Turkey and Libya and Ethiopia and some of the other Muslim nations come to the join together with Turkey and Iran and just get rid of Israel because the U.S. is out of the picture? Bible talks about that. And it says when that happens Israel will have no friends. They’ll have no ally.

They’ll have no ability to defend themselves. And then God will reveal himself to Israel. The Bible talks of the last great battle, Battle of Armageddon where the whole world comes against Israel and they’re going to get rid of the Jewish people once and for all.

There’s people that they hate not because they don’t give you tremendous inventions and aren’t great musicians and aren’t great athletes, but because they’re the chosen of God. And Satan hates them and Satan’s behind a world system. And what happens is that Jesus will come.

And Jude tells us that he comes with who? His ten thousands of saints. He comes with those people that had understanding. He comes with those people that are wise.

And look at the Bible and understand who God is, who Jesus is, who’s in control, what his plan is for the ages. And the Lord comes with him and with the word of his mouth, he will defeat these enemies. And then it says there’s going to be a remnant.

Two thirds, it says in Zechariah, are going to be destroyed of the Jewish people. But one third will be wise. And they will be looking for their deliverer.

And when he comes, they will look upon him whom they pierced. And they will realize he is their Messiah. And in one day, just as God says, the nation of Israel will be transformed from unbelief to belief.

Now, it’s in the process of that happening today. I mentioned there are people getting saved all the time. But the remnant are going to be saved in a day.

Well, we’ve looked at the book of Daniel. And in closing, he asks us the question, do I believe God’s word or don’t I? Is it true or isn’t it? And then look at the prophets and what they said, look at Jesus’s own words and look at the world today. Is it like some people, like some podcasters say, the Jews are the whole problem and we got to bring in peace and prosperity and they’re looking for a man to do it? Or is it what the Bible says? If you’re looking for that man, you’re looking for the Antichrist.

And you’re not looking for the true and the living God. Let’s just close in prayer. Lord, I pray you just help us to understand the day in which we live.

Help us to discern the times. Help us to understand the hour. Help us to be those that are wise and discerning, not foolish and don’t understand.

This we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
