Daniel 12:1–4 Explained: The Time of Trouble, Resurrection, and Sealed Prophecy

Daniel 12:1–4 brings us to one of the most powerful prophetic moments in Scripture, describing a time of unprecedented trouble, the rise of Michael the archangel, and the promise of resurrection for God’s people. These verses point to both judgment and hope—revealing that while the end times will be marked by distress, they will also culminate in deliverance, awakening, and divine truth being revealed. Understanding this passage helps connect Old Testament prophecy with future fulfillment and eternal promises.

This morning if you have your Bibles and will turn again with me to Daniel’s words of prophecy. I want us to look at Daniel chapter 12 this morning. And I want to begin by just reading a few of the verses And then we’re going to expound upon the importance of what we believe as Christians when it comes to Daniel’s prophecy.

Daniel 12:1-4

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Let’s just bow in prayer. The Holy Father as we come before you this morning, Lord I pray you just help us to understand the importance of what we believe when it comes to the nation of Israel, which impacts us directly on how we interpret your word and the prophecies contained within it.

Lord as we look at Daniel’s prophecy and how you revealed to him the last portion of history in the world as we know it, and how that shall come upon the nation of Israel in the last three and a half years of the rule of the man that we looked at last week, the Antichrist. And Father help us to have a heart for the Jewish people, a heart for the nation of Israel. And speak to us through your word we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Time of Trouble Like Never Before

One of the sad things that’s happening in the church today is the church is turning its back on Israel. They are redeveloping their theology.

So they don’t look at Israel as being the focus of prophecy, but they look at the church. Many churches that were once strong Bible believing churches that used to teach prophetically and auto the prophecies of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Zechariah. The words of Jesus himself on the Mount of Olives.

And they would speak and teach about how these events were pointing to the last days. Yet many of these churches today have abandoned that teaching, no longer teach it. Instead they’ve replaced it and said, well the church is Israel.

God is done with the Jewish people. This morning I want us to take a look at how crazy that is as far as a theological position. The first question we have to ask as a Christian, do I believe the word of God or don’t I believe the word of God? Because many people today allow world events, political power structures, podcasters who aren’t even Christians even though they may claim to be Christians.

To direct how they interpret God’s word. And they abandon the literal interpretation of the word of God. And when you do that you come up with all kinds of crazy things.

One being that the church is Israel. I want us to see this morning that Daniel is specifically dealing with the physical nation of Israel. Daniel was part of that nation.

Daniel was taken into captivity during the attack of Nebuchadnezzar upon Jerusalem. In all likelihood it was the first attack that Daniel was taken into captivity into Babylon. Ezekiel was taken in the second attack.

Both men prophesied about the third wave that would come by Nebuchadnezzar against Jerusalem. And how it would be utterly destroyed and there would be nothing left. All are factual and can be looked at historically.

But both Ezekiel and Daniel as well as Jeremiah and Isaiah as well as Zechariah as well as all the prophets that are in the Old Testament speak prophetically about events that will happen in the last days. And they all speak prophetically to Israel. Yet today many people believe that the Israel you see and hear about on the news is not biblical Israel.

First thing I want us to do this morning is to put that out of your mind. The Israel you see today is the Israel that is prophesied in Ezekiel. If you want to leave your finger in Daniel I would just have you turn back with me to Ezekiel.

And I want us to turn to Ezekiel chapter 37. And in Ezekiel 37 the Lord talks about the resuscitation of a nation. It’s not America.

It’s not Europe. It’s not some country in Africa or Australia or Asia. It’s Israel.

And he talks about that this resuscitation will occur in the last days. And I just want us to look at what he tells us the land would be like before the nation of Israel came back into the land. This is Ezekiel’s prophetic word in verse 37.

Ezekiel 37:1-2

1 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Ezekiel is seeing a valley of dry bones. But before he even sees the valley of dry bones, turn back to Ezekiel chapter 36. Also thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord.

So we see that Ezekiel sees a valley of dry bones, but before that the Lord tells him, I’m going to prophesy unto the mountains. I’m going to speak to the mountains of Israel. Now it’s interesting, Ezekiel is seeing all of these events occur way in the future.

They didn’t occur during his time. And he says,

Ezekiel 36:1-5

1 Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:

2 Thus saith the Lord God; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:

3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:

4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;

5 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

He’s describing what the hills are like that he’s prophesying to their desolate. There’s nothing there. This is the land of Israel.

This is the land that Ezekiel had left. And when the nation of Israel was still inhabiting the land, it was prosperous under them during the time that Ezekiel was born under the king. King Josiah was a very prosperous time prior to him.

Hezekiah was a very prosperous time in Judah. During the time of David and Solomon, which was much earlier, the whole land of Israel and Judah were one country, a very prosperous land. God said that he would make the land prosperous.

But now he said that when the people were taken out as part of his judgment, the land would become desolate. And he’s telling Ezekiel, speak to the mountains and tell them you are. And the only people that are inhabiting you are the enemies of Israel and they desire to make the land more desolate.

They hate my land. It’s interesting. Moses gave a prophecy about how one day at the end of times there would come a Gentile who would speak of how desolate the land had become and there were hardly any Jews there.

Mark Twain, as I mentioned before in some of my other messages, came into Israel in the mid-1860s and said he had never seen such a desolate and forlorn land. There was just small little villages and nothing there. It’s interesting.

God had foretold to all the prophets that we’ve been studying, and specifically to Daniel, the last time events of world history. He said that he would bring the people back into the land. And when he did, he would begin to cause the land to become bountiful again.

Going to verse 13 of chapter 36, Thus saith the Lord God, because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations, therefore thou shalt devour men no more. Neither bereave thy nation any more, saith the Lord God. Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more.

Neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more. Neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God. Moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings.

Their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. Therefore I poured out my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it. And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed throughout the countries according to their way, and according to their doings I judged them.

Why was Israel not in the land from 70 A.D. until 1948? The Lord said He was going to deal with the nation of Israel, and He was going to deal with them exactly for what we just read here. For their shedding of blood, and for their sinning and worshipping of idols. They did this as we studied, and have been studying through Jeremiah, and now through Ezekiel, those of you who are with us in the study of Ezekiel, and also through Daniel.

And God was going to judge them. But He wasn’t done with them. And whose land is it? It’s God’s land.

It doesn’t belong to the Palestinians. It doesn’t belong to the Arabs. It doesn’t belong to the tribes that came out of Keturah, Abraham’s second wife concubine.

It doesn’t come from the descendants of Ishmael, his first concubine. The land is His to give to whom He wants to, and He gave it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the descendants of Jacob. And we don’t have time to read the promises, but you can go back and read them in Genesis.

And it talks about that the land would be given to them, and to their generations. And it was an unconditional promise that the land was theirs. The only condition was it would not be a blessed and fruitful land unless they were in it and obeying God.

God is in the process of calling the Jews back to Israel. And it’s interesting, in the same chapter of Ezekiel, He talks about this happening. Verse 22, Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord, I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, He’s talking about driving out the heathen and causing the land to once again become prosperous.

O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned against the heathen, whither ye went. God has dispersed them amongst the nations, but instead of being a blessing amongst the nations and proclaiming the Messiah that would come, as He had called them to do, they profaned His name amongst the nations. Now in 70 AD, Rome was done with Israel.

Israel had been a thorn in the side of Rome as long as Rome had been inhabiting the land of Israel and had maintained it. They were constantly rising up in rebellion. They were constantly not being obedient to the Roman directives.

They would not worship the Roman gods even though they directed that they worship Caesar. And the Romans made it as easy as possible. All you had to do was say, I worship Caesar once, and then you could go worship your gods.

The Jews wouldn’t do it. The Romans got fed up. Titus was sent to Jerusalem to solve the problem.

And he solved it by destroying the whole city. He destroyed Herod’s addition to the second temple and destroyed it and laid it waste. Today if you go to Jerusalem and they’ve done archaeological digs around the Temple Mount, you’ll find the steps, the southern steps going up to the temple.

You’ll find what is referred to as the Wailing Wall, which is really the retainage wall, one of the retainage walls of the Temple Mount where you can see Herod’s stones and some of his construction. But the temple is long gone. The Jews were taken for the most part to Rome as slaves and sold into slavery.

What happened is the Jews were dispersed and there became kind of three groups of Jewish people that began to develop out of it. The Ashkenazi Jews were the main ones that had gone to Rome and they were sold as slaves and they eventually migrated and many of them got their freedom eventually because the Romans had a way by which you could gain your freedom as a slave. And they migrated north into central Europe into what is now Germany and Poland and then the Ukraine and Russia and those areas and that was referred to as the Ashkenazi Jews.

The Sephitic Jews, they were sent and went towards the Mediterranean south-east or south-west Mediterranean area which is Spain, southern France, Algeria and the northern Africa. The third main group of Jews stayed in the middle east and were dispersed there. They went to places like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and some stayed in the land of Israel.

But they were dispersed. God said they were going to be an identifiable people even though they had been dispersed throughout the nations. And that one day He would hiss or whistle and they would begin to come back.

He would cause them to come back. I want to tell you today there is a very, very evil and wicked theology that is developing where they say the Jews are really the Jews of a Satan’s synagogue according to what you find in the book of Revelation and is referred to as the Satanist synagogue in the church of Smyrna and also in the church of Philadelphia. And they refer to the Jews as the Satanist synagogue specifically the Ashkenazi Jews.

And they say the Ashkenazi Jews aren’t even Jews at all, they’re Europeans. It’s interesting. We now have DNA.

We didn’t have DNA before, you just had to go by birth records, historical records, try to trace people. That’s why you’ll see, for example, if your family came from a Protestant church or came from an Anabaptist church in Europe, you have a difficult time finding out who your relatives were in Europe because all the archives of the people were kept in the church. The birth records, the baptismal records, that’s why they wanted babies baptized.

It had nothing to do with the Bible. It had everything to do with maintaining control over the population and determining who belonged to who and who would be able to be controlled by the state. But because if you grew up as an Anabaptist or if you grew up later on as a Protestant and you weren’t involved in the state church, you don’t have those records.

And so you can’t find them. Guess what? The Jewish people, even though many of them tried to immerse themselves in the European cultures, in the African cultures, in the Middle Eastern cultures, God placed on their heart to keep their Jewishness. They would celebrate the Passover.

They would have customs and food and language they couldn’t explain because it was memories from hundreds of years ago when they came out of Israel. Today, through DNA, they have studied the Ashkenazi Jews of Europe. And this is the main group of Jews that are coming under attack by Christians who say they’re not Jewish.

Yet you will find there are DNA markers and they have two ways of going back genetically through DNA to find out what your makeup is. One is through the mother’s mitochondrial DNA. The other is through the father’s mitochondrial DNA.

Those of you who had basic genetics in high school will understand that a woman has XX chromosomes. A man has YX chromosomes. A man gets an X chromosome from his mother.

They can trace and they have been able to trace through the women and also through the men where they came from. What they have discovered genetically amongst the Ashkenazi Jews, they are Jews. They said it’s amazing.

They are an interesting group of people. They never changed genetically even though they’ve been in Europe for 2,000 years. But genetically there’s been little change.

And part of it is in their history, genetically they can see how the people have been condensed to a very, very small group of people. And the geneticists that study it say that there’s a point in history during the Middle Ages where there were about 350 Ashkenazi Jews left in Europe. That’s all.

But it’s an amazing thing. They said that they do all these DNA studies on the Ashkenazi Jews. All of the men show that they come from what they call the Lebbet.

And it’s the Middle East. It would be Israel, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, that area. And they all show genetic markers there.

And the amazing thing they said is you take and compare them to the Sephetic Jews which are the ones that ended up over in Spain and Northern Africa or the group of Jews that ended up and stayed in the Middle East and they have some of the same genetic markers. They’re the same. They’re Jews.

If there was ever a group that wanted to diverse itself it should have been the Jewish people but God did not allow them to do it. They maintained their separateness. They were persecuted throughout the history of their dispersion.

And today you’re beginning to see them coming back to Israel. It’s interesting. They said that you can take an Ashkenazi You can write today that 350 people in Ashkenazi Jews in Ashkenazi.

I heard a man say one time he says well Ashkenazi he was one of the sons of Japheth and so consequently they aren’t even Jewish. That’s a lie. No wonder they’re called Ashkenazi Jews.

It’s not because they’re children of Japheth. It’s because Ashkenazi is the area referred to as Europe. They’re European Jews.

That’s what it means. Ashkenazi Jews. He said that there was this 350 people today there are millions of people that are Ashkenazi Jews in the world.

He said you can take an Ashkenazi Jew from London from New York City from Poland from Israel and they’ll have the same genetic markers. He says they are so close they will look like fourth cousins. That’s not even for 2,000 years.

That’s nothing. You take the Ashkenazi Jews and you compare them to the Mestetic Jews and also the Jews that came from Spain the Jews that remained in the Middle East and they still all test out as Jewish. How can this be? Because God said it would.

And it doesn’t matter what theologians say or it doesn’t matter what a podcast person says who grew up in a theological position that they hated Israel because their church hated Israel. The Roman Catholic Church has never liked Israel. They always wanted to replace Israel.

They wanted to control Jerusalem. And so if you grew up in a Roman Catholic theological position of course you’ll say the Jews aren’t the Jews.

To show you how ridiculous it is, a number of years ago, we had the Mormons, are one of the biggest growing groups of people, religions in the world, fastest growing, and they did DNA studies, because one of the main things the Mormons teach is that you had two tribes of Israel that were lost tribes of Israel, they came to North America, one was dark-skinned, one was light-skinned, they fought, they had these great wars, and the dark-skinned defeated the light-skinned, and so all the aboriginal peoples of North America, South America, and Canada came out of these Israelite people, the dark-skinned ones that came over here, and that’s the Mormon, one of the Mormon histories. One problem with it, you look for the archaeological evidence, there is none, you can’t find any wars, but the more condemning thing than even that is the fact that they did DNA studies of all the aboriginal peoples, and they found they had no Jewish markers, they never came from the Middle East, they weren’t Jews, they said the markers they had, they were very closely related to the Mongols, and those that would come from the Far East, and it would be logical, because I had studied in school how they believed that that’s how they got to America, would be across the Bering Straits, which makes perfect logical sense, but they do not have any Jewish markers. They presented this to one of the elders of the Mormon church, this was his response, this is very disturbing, this is very disturbing, it destroys all of our history, and I don’t know what to believe now, because we all know that Joseph Smith was a philanderer and a liar, and he’s the founder of the Mormon church, and this is an elder saying this, on tape, I want to tell you, the church today is no different than the Mormons, by declaring that the Jews aren’t the Jews, that the Jews in Israel really aren’t Jewish, that they really have no right to the land, and that because I’m a Christian, I supplant the Jews, and they don’t even exist anymore.

I want to tell you what God says, and we need to examine what God says, not what people say. In Ezekiel, again, chapter 36, it says he’s speaking, having Ezekiel prophetically speak amongst the Jewish people, and what the Lord is saying to them. Let’s begin at verse 23.

The Lord says, And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned amongst the heathen, which you have profaned in the midst of them, and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. So the Lord says what he is going to use is the Jewish people to open up the eyes of the heathen that he exists. And the thing is, it wasn’t conditional upon the Jewish people being so wonderful.

As a matter of fact, he’s going to use them, and he’s just got done saying, you weren’t that great, I had to disperse you amongst the nations as part of the judgment, because there was 70 weeks of years of judgment that had to come upon you. The first 69 weeks were going to end when the Messiah would be cut off, when he would die in Jerusalem, and then there would be this blank period of time where God would show grace and mercy to the Gentiles, bringing them the gospel that flowed out of Calvary, and the death of Christ, and you and I could get saved. But God knew there’d be a rising in the world where they’d say, well, God doesn’t exist.

Do we have a deal where the God of the Bible doesn’t exist in the eyes of most people today? I’d say it’s true. Even in the church, many people don’t believe in creation. In the church, many people don’t believe in Noah’s flood.

In the church, many people don’t believe that Israel is Israel, and the Jews are the Jews, and that they still exist. In the church, many people don’t believe that the Jews of the Bible are the Jews of today. And that’s in the places that people say, I believe in God.

Well, God says, I’m going to come and I’m going to show them something that will exalt my name and sanctify my name before them all. What is he going to show them? Remember, he dispersed the people amongst the nations 2,000 years ago. They went to all different parts of the world.

We know that they’re identifiable as a people because DNA proves it. Their customs prove it. Remnants of language.

Ever stop to think, where did Yiddish come from? Yiddish is a combination of many languages. It’s a combination of people who have moved throughout countries and have picked up certain words, but know who speaks Yiddish? Jewish people. They’re the main people that speak Yiddish.

It’s because they’ve been in country after country and they adopt certain words of that country and place them in their language. What’s God going to do? He’s going to sanctify his name before the whole world and be proof that he’s God. For I will take you from among the heathen and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land.

When Ezekiel wrote this, the nation of Israel had been in their own land. Judah had been in their own land up until the time of Ezekiel’s prophecy. And then they were being taken out.

We know that they were going to go back under Nehemiah and Ezra. The city of Jerusalem would be rebuilt. The walls would be rebuilt of the city.

The temple would be rebuilt under Ezra’s direction. Nehemiah would rebuild the walls. But they would never have another king.

There would be no other king that would rule from Jerusalem that would be a descendant of the house of David. And the house of David was the line through whom the Messiah would come. But there would never be another king until the king of kings came.

Until the one would come and sit upon the throne of David that would be the Messiah, the promised one of Israel. And when he came and sat upon that throne, then you would begin the Messianic kingdom or thousand year reign. And God’s plans would be coming to an end.

But how is He going to do it? How is He going to show the world that He is God? So He is going to bring all the people from all the nations. As I mentioned, there were some Jews that stayed in the Middle East. There were a few that stayed in Israel, not a lot.

At the time of the dispersion, the Diaspora. But they started coming back in the late 1800s. Not a lot at first, but persecution started getting worse in nations around the world.

Herzl started a movement to bring Jews back to Israel. And when he did, it came after World War I. And the event that precipitated it was a young man who was Jewish and not guilty of a crime, but was convicted and sentenced for his Jewishness. And Herzl started the Zionist movement.

I want to tell you the Zionist movement was started long before Herzl. The Zionist movement was started when God told Abraham, Take your son, the son of promise Isaac, to Mount Moriah. Know what Mount Moriah is? Mount Moriah is Mount Zion.

And offer him there as a sacrifice unto me. And Abraham did it. But I want you to see Abraham had faith that God was going to provide.

Because he knew that God was a God who hated human sacrifice. It was an abomination to him. And so as Isaac, who was a young man at the time, and could have easily escaped from Abraham’s control, left their servants at the base of the mountain.

And Isaac carried the wood for the fire on his back up the mountain. And when they left, Abraham told the servants, The lad and I will return. They went up the mountain.

They get up to the top of the mountain. And Abraham builds an altar. And he has Isaac place the wood upon the altar.

And then he has Isaac lay down on the wood on the altar. And Isaac asks the question, Where is the lamb? And Abraham says, The Lord will provide. Abraham takes a knife.

He raises it. And he’s about ready to plunge it into his son, the son of promise. And the Lord stops him.

And there in the bushes is a ram. He gets the ram. They sacrifice the ram to the Lord.

And thank God for his provision. This was the first real picture of Mount Zion. The Jews call themselves Zionists because they want to go back to Jerusalem.

They want to go back to the Temple Mount. They want to go back and have the Temple. But really what they are, they don’t realize what they are really doing, even though they are doing it in unbelief.

They are saying, We are going back because the Messiah will come and return. Where? To Mount Zion? A Christian who speaks adversely against Zionists is speaking against his Messiah. And speaking against his God.

And a Christian who says God isn’t big enough to preserve the Jewish people as an identifiable people, even though he said he would, is doubting that God is big enough to take away my sin because my sin is pretty bad. They don’t understand what they are saying. And we live in a world where the church is so weak because our God that we worship isn’t the God of the Bible.

And we’ve created a different God. Now it’s interesting. How does the Lord do this? He says, For I will take you from among the heathen and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land.

Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you and you shall be clean from all your filthiness and from your idols and I will cleanse you. That portion hasn’t happened yet. But it’s going to.

And it’s beginning to happen. I want you to see some things that are happening in the world today. Zionism was started because of a Jewish young man being falsely accused and falsely sentenced in France.

And Herzl saying, We need to go back and have our own land. And as he did that, persecution grew stronger in Europe. World War II came.

Persecution of the Jews was horrendous in Germany. But it wasn’t just Germany. Did you know that America didn’t support the Jews during World War II? You probably haven’t heard that.

There was a ship load of Jewish people from Europe that had escaped Europe and escaped the gas chambers of Hitler. They had papers to enter the United States. Our President, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, would not allow them in.

He made the ship turn around and send 5000 Jewish people to the gas chambers in Europe. Our hands aren’t clean. But God was showing the world whose people are these.

And it’s interesting. He said that they would come back into the land. And when they came back into the land, they would not come as two sticks, but as one.

You see, there was the stick of the house of Joseph. And there was the stick of the house of Judah. The house of Joseph represented the Northern Kingdom.

And we understand, those of you who were here when we went through the kings of Judah, you remember that shortly after Solomon died, Rehoboam attacked the people so heavily and put such a heavy weight on them that the Northern tribes broke off from the Southern tribes and they became two nations out of one. And the Northern tribes referred to themselves as Israel. The Southern tribes, which was Judah, was the main tribe because that was the house of David, it was in Judah.

The house of Joseph was in the Northern tribes and they were Manasseh and Ephraim were the tribes and they were the two major tribes of the Northern Kingdom. Those became the two kingdoms that made up Israel, but they weren’t one. In 1948, there was a period of time Israel should have never become a nation.

There had always been strong anti-Semitism, like I mentioned, even in America. If Franklin Delano Roosevelt had been president, Israel probably wouldn’t have been a nation. But an amazing thing happened.

FDR died and Harry Truman was his vice president. He took over. Harry Truman didn’t make all right decisions, but Harry Truman, before he became a politician, had a Jewish partner in a clothing store and I believe it was Kansas.

The UN, unbeknownst because it could only be the direction of the Lord, said, we need to solve the Middle East problem. We need to create a land for the Jews. Prior to that, at the turn of the century, there had been the Balfour Declaration, which said that England was going to support the Jewish people and support a homeland.

Quetzal and other Jews took advantage of what the UN had said. They began to get mass migration to Israel and they said, we need to form a nation. They formed this nation when the two main countries, France and England, were dispersing the land and they formed a nation called Israel.

But it wasn’t called Israel initially. As they were meeting, determining what this nation should be, should we be Judah? Because Judah had remained the longest. Judah had been the most faithful.

Should we be Israel? Because that’s the name of our founding father, Jacob, had become Israel and Israel had been the larger of the two nations. Or should we come back as two nations, Judah and Israel? As they met, they said we will be one nation and one name, Israel. The word of God says in Ezekiel, They shall not come back as the house of Ephraim and the house of Judah, but they shall come back as Israel.

They are two sticks, but they shall be coming back as one. Ezekiel spoke that a few hundred years before the event, a couple thousand years actually, 3,000, 2,500 years before that event happened. And it happened just like he said.

They came back as Israel. God is showing to the world, I am God, I am in control. Does the world believe him? No.

They never have. The Canaanites didn’t. They saw all that God did for the nation, for the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

They saw the blessing that he poured out upon them. They saw all he did and yet they didn’t believe. The vast majority of them didn’t believe.

But the sad thing is today you are seeing the church begin to turn and walk in unbelief. We need to understand God brought Israel back as Israel. They are Jewish people who came back to their land that God had given to them.

To no Palestinian, to no Arab, to no Jordanian, to no Samarian, to no person from Iraq, Iran or any other nation of the Middle East. He gave this little tiny strip to Israel. And just as he said, it was desolate.

You go to Jerusalem today, it is not desolate. You go to Israel today, it is not desolate. You know what is happening in Israel right now? Our economy is kind of waffling a little bit.

It is supposed to be getting better but is it really getting better? Israel has got the strongest economy in the face of all the wars that they have been fighting. And the main war that they have been going through for the last three and a half or four years. And yet they have got the strongest economy in the world.

Israel has more inventions than any other nation. And yet you look at the population, the percentage of inventions versus the population of the land. It is totally out of whack.

But God said it would be that way. Israel sends flowers to the Netherlands. Israel is one of the bread baskets of Europe.

They send food to Europe. And yet they feed their own millions. In a land that was so desolate that Mark Twain says, it is not worth anything, there is nothing here.

All there is, is swamps and mosquitoes and rocks and hills. Is God who He says He is? And that is the question. That is the question that we have to close with.

I had more stuff that I wanted to share but I am out of time. I did not even get into the synagogues of Satan. I should just give you a little bit so you have got some ammunition.

Synagogues of Satan are not for Jewish people. If they are for Jewish people, it is people like Soros who is Jewish but he is not Jewish. The Bible tells us all Jews are not Jews.

But the thing is, the synagogues of Satan, if you look at what happened in the synagogues of Satan, false teaching. One of the things that was coming into the church at that time was the teaching that a Gentile had to be a Jew in order to be saved. Do you know what you have got in the church today? You have got many people that want to be Jews that are Gentiles.

What does the Bible tell us? In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, man nor free, male nor female. God made the Gentiles distinctive from the Jews for a purpose. The Jews were his means by which he channeled all and brought all of the word of God.

He brought the prophets. He brought the Messiah. He brought the promises.

They were channeled through the Jews. But when you are saved in Christ, there is neither difference between the Jew or the Gentile. We are both the same in the eyes of the Lord.

And Gentiles can never become Jews. Contrary to what our culture says, a female can never become a male, nor can a male ever become a female. I don’t care how many surgeries you do, you will never be able to change all the chromosomes in your body that indicate you are a male or a female.

Yet in Christ you are one. He created a male and a female to be unique and separate, and yet they are complementary and come together to bring glory to God and establish a home where God’s name can be exalted. The Jew and the Gentile are separate.

They have separate purposes. Yet in Christ they come together. We bring glory to God and we worship as one.

We are Christians. All part of the bride of Christ. If you are a Jew or a Gentile and have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

So to say that the synagogue of Satan is all the Jewish people of the world, which is what some people say, is a lie from the pit of hell. And it is to cause more anti-Semitism. And it is to cause people to turn away from the miraculous power of God to preserve a people.

And not only preserve them, but fulfill His word, even as He said, to bring them into the land as dry bones. And when we get into Ezekiel, we are going to see what those bones happens to them. It is amazing.

And in closing, I will just say this one thing. There are ministries that specifically minister to the Jewish and Arab people in Israel. This church supports those ministries.

One for Israel. Israel, my glory. They are seeing tremendous things happen amongst people getting saved in Israel.

And you and I need to be thankful and praise God instead of being deterred by false teachers and liars who really are coming against what the word of God says. Let’s just close in prayer. Lord, I pray that You speak to us through Your word.

Help us to understand the importance of following Your word, believing Your word, trusting Your word, and realizing that You will reveal Yourself in the last days through the Jewish people. You said it in Your word. We read it today.

You will be sanctified to the world through the Jewish people. And the world will hate them because it hates You. But Lord, we as Your children should love them because we love You.

Lord, thank You for Your promises. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
