The Spirit of Babylon Unmasking the End-Time Deception, Part 2

The Spirit of Babylon Unmasking the End-Time Deception, Part 2

The spirit of Babylon did not vanish with the ruins of an ancient empire. It continues to move through the world today — influencing culture, religion, and even the way people think about truth. In The Spirit of Babylon, Part 2, we explore how this same rebellious spirit resurfaces in modern times, calling people away from God’s Word and toward deception. Through Scripture, we uncover how to recognize its presence and remain steadfast in the truth of Christ.

Confusion and Deception in the Last Days

This morning, we’re going to depart, for this Sunday anyway, from our going through the book of Daniel. And I begin on Wednesday night. We’ve been going through Jeremiah on Wednesday night and Sunday afternoons, and we’re getting to the close of Jeremiah.

And we came to Jeremiah chapter . And we looked at Jeremiah chapter , and then also Revelation, and seen the comparisons of the prophecies given about the last days and about Babylon. And then this last week, as we were on vacation, we were listening to some podcasts dealing with some real issues in the church.

And real confusion in the church. And I believe that part of the reason for the confusion in the church is exactly what Jesus said would happen in the last days. If you look at Matthew chapter , where he’s meeting with his disciples up on the Mount of Olives, overlooking the Temple Mount.

And they’re talking to him, and they’re asking him, when is the kingdom coming? And that would be his kingdom on earth. Because remember, he said to Pilate, my kingdom is not of this world. When he stood before Pontius Pilate.

And yet there’s a day coming when his kingdom will be of this world. And it has to deal with the Jewish nation. It has to deal with the church.

It has to deal with a whole series of events that are going to happen in the last days before he comes to return to judge the nations who are coming against Israel. The apple of his eye in desiring to get rid of the Jewish problem once and for all, as they all gather in the valley of Jehoshaphat. And the Lord comes and destroys them with the power of his word.

But there’s much confusion because Jesus, as we’ve mentioned before when we’ve looked at various prophecies, when he was speaking to his disciples, he was telling them the things that would be happening prior to his coming to reestablish the throne of David in Jerusalem, where he would sit upon it and he would rule from Jerusalem. And he said one of the major things, because he emphasized it, I believe it’s four times in that address, was false teaching and deception that would be coming upon the earth. There would be those that would rise up and claim to be the Christ.

There would be those that would attack and change the gospel. We are living in that day. There have always been those that have come against Israel and hated the Jewish people.

There have always been those that have come against the church and hated Christians. But the amazing thing is, in the last days, you’re seeing what Jeremiah, in his prophecies dealing with the nation of Babylon, and John, in Revelation, dealing with the spirit and the nation of Babylon in the sense of it having been reestablished or restored. And they’re saying the same thing.

And so this morning, I want to pick up where I left off on Wednesday. And those of you who weren’t here on Wednesday, just to give you just a snippet of a background. Jeremiah has been speaking prophetically to Israel because Israel had rebelled against God and they’d worshiped the false gods of this world.

And the tool of judgment that he used was Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon. But he also wanted to know, and he wanted Israel to know. And Israel at that time was two kingdoms, Judah and Israel.

And he wanted the people that were left and those that had been taken away into Babylon to know that God was not done with them. And if the kingdom and the land would be restored against them, he’d bring them back. And he also wanted them to know that God was not done with Babylon and that judgment was coming.

As I mentioned earlier in the service, what you see happening in our world today is spiritual. We cannot look into the heavenly realms. We can’t see angels and demons, but we can see the impact of the demonic all around us.

And we can see that there are two kingdoms at work in this world in the sense of those who believe and follow in God and those who trust in the ways of Babylon. Now if you would turn with me to Jeremiah and if you would also turn with me to Revelation chapter . And so if you would keep your fingers in both of those locations, we’re going to be looking at some verses.

What is Babylon?

In Jeremiah chapter , the Lord is speaking through Jeremiah against Babylon. Now I just want to tell you, what is Babylon? It’s more than the city that Nebuchadnezzar built. It’s more than the kingdom that Nebuchadnezzar oversaw.

But it is driven by a spirit that is the spirit that Satan implants in this world which is anti-God, anti-truth, anti-Messiah, and desires to come against and destroy the faith of anyone who would attempt to believe in the God of the Bible. I want you to know that it used to be Christians understood this. They understood the depth of deception, that there were those that came in the name of Christ that were really the enemies of the cross because they presented a different gospel, a different means of salvation.

Even though they used the words that you and I would use, they gave them different meanings. As we were studying in Jeremiah, and again on Wednesday night, and then you look at Daniel where we’re at right now in our study on Sunday mornings. Daniel is given the vision of these kingdoms that follow one after another.

Babylon, Medo-Persian, Grecian, the Roman Empire, and then the resurrection of the Roman Empire. All of these kingdoms, although they are different, ruled by different people, different cultures, have one thing in common. At the core is the spirit of Babylon.

Babylon flows from one worldly kingdom to another. It manifests itself in various forms, and if you look at the religions and the gods of this world, at the heart of them all is something very, very similar, because Satan is the author of all of them. As we’ve been studying Daniel, the Roman Empire had not come into existence when Daniel was there.

Daniel served both in the Babylonian Empire, and then as we saw three Sundays ago, he was serving in the Medo-Persian Empire as a consultant and high up in leadership and the leader of the Medo-Persian Empire was actually going to make him and made him the president over the presidents. He was underneath the king in authority. But the one thing that these empires had is the underlying spirit was a spirit that was anti-God.

And Daniel mentioned in his interpretation of the statue that we were looking at, that they would come out of what we know to be the Roman Empire, the legs made of bronze and iron. And they would come out of that, ten toes, where they had the metal and the clay, which can’t be melted together. People have often wondered, what is this kingdom? Well, if you go and you study and look, and we talked a little bit about Hislop and his book, The Two Babylons.

And he said, if you go back and you look at the Roman Empire, a lot of people think the Roman Empire ceased when the last emperor lost power. But it was all transferred to what we know as the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic Church uses the same titles that were used by the emperors of Rome for the Pope.

They use the same colors as were used by the emperors of Rome for their colors and which are mentioned both by Daniel and by Jeremiah, scarlet and purple. They establish a system that uses the words we use, but it comes with different meanings. Throughout the ages, believers in Jesus Christ have been put to death by the Roman Catholic Church because they would not partake in the Eucharist.

Today you have Bible-believing Christians calling the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, the memorial service that Jesus gave us, the Eucharist. I’ve got a little pamphlet in the back, written by Dr. Ironside, which talks about why the Eucharist is not the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. And it’s another means by which men attempt to get people to believe that you have to do something but believe in Jesus to be saved.

When we celebrated the Lord’s Supper this morning, you had a piece of bread and a little glass of grape juice. When you ingested them, there remained grape juice and bread. They did not magically become the body and blood of Christ when I took them up here and handed them out.

They didn’t become magically the body and blood of Christ when you ingested them, but they are symbols of what Jesus actually did for us on the cross. Roman Catholic Church doesn’t teach that. Roman Catholic Church teaches you have to have various means of grace in order to be saved, and you cannot know for certain that you will be saved.

The Bible tells us that we can know assuredly that we have salvation if we but give our hearts and lives to Christ and accept the gift that he gave for us once and for all, not every time we meet and celebrate the Lord’s Supper, but once and for all. There’s much confusion today in the church. There’s a well-known ministry, or not ministry, but political entity that is standing for the right things politically, but they’re beginning to be used to amalgamize and bring together not only Roman Catholicism and Evangelicalism, but Mormonism and other forms of religion into a form of ecumenism.

When I was a young boy, we went and heard Romanian pastor who was Jewish and then converted to Christianity, and I just swiped my name, Richard Wurmbrandt. And Richard Wurmbrandt had suffered because he stood for truth. When other Christians in Romania, when first the Nazis and then the Communists came in and attempted to get the church to compromise the message, he would not.

He said, the gospel is the gospel. It’s what saves men, and we cannot compromise it and have a worldly gospel. And Jesus said in the last days, deceit would be the mark of the church.

Well, I just want us to look at these verses in chapter . I’m going to read them again, beginning at verse in of Jeremiah. Blessed is the Lord.

Behold, I will raise up against Babylon and against them that dwell in the midst of them, that rise up against me a destroying wind. And I will send unto Babylon fanners, and shall empty her land. And in the day of trouble they shall be against her roundabout. Against him that bendeth, let the archer bend his bow. Against him that lifteth himself up in his brigadine. And spare ye not her young men, destroy ye utterly all of the lost. Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through on her streets. For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the Lord of hosts, though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel. And I just want you to mark that in your Bibles, because a lot of Christians today are falling for the lie that God is done with Israel, and the church has replaced Israel. Jeremiah 51:1-6

I don’t know about you, but my Bible just said, He is not done with Judah, even though their land is filled with sin. And he talked about the fact that later on, he talks and mentions in Isaiah, and also in the book of Ezekiel, that they’re going to come back into the land. In Ezekiel, you have the valley of dry bones, and they’re going to come back as dry bones in unbelief.

In Isaiah, he says they’re coming back, not as two nations, but one. In , Jewish people from all over the world, who had been coming back since the late s to Israel, came back and became one nation, not two. It was not Israel and Judah, but Israel.

And he says, I have not forgotten you, even though there’s sin in the land. A lot of people today say, well, God is done with Israel, because all you’ve got to do is go to Tel Aviv, and guess what? The wicked things we find in larger cities in America, you find in Tel Aviv. They have abortions.

They exalt LBGTQ. They’re in rebellion to God’s word. So that means God has to be done with them.

And I want to tell you one thing. The church better not talk too loud, because there are those that claim to be the church that exalt LBGTQ and honor abortion. God says, I’m not done with Israel, even though there’s sin in the land.

At the time of Jeremiah, the sin was so great that God took them out of the land. But he never took the land from the people. Ever.

And Daniel knew that. Jeremiah knew that. Ezekiel knew that.

Isaiah knew that. But people in the church today don’t seem to know it. Right now, President Trump has counselors that are counseling him, that Israel, for the sake of peace, instead of calling on the name of the Lord, who showed them tremendous miracles when they were being attacked on seven fronts, and preserved them as a nation, and they were not destroyed, that they should give up land for peace.

The Gaza Strip, in the early s, was controlled and settled by Israel. They were told, give it up, and you’ll have peace. God says, do not give up the land.

And those who would seek to divide my land shall be judged. Prime Minister Sharon of Israel, who had always been hawkish in his views, said, we need to do this. And they went in and they bulldozed Jewish settlements.

They dug up Jewish graves and transferred the bodies into Israeli, other portions of Israel. And they turned the land over to Arabs, who were Islamic. There was no peace.

The world dumped literally billions of dollars into this little strip of land. They could have had everybody living in a beautiful home, with a beautiful yard, driving a beautiful car, having all this infrastructure. Do you know what they were doing? First thing they did when they moved into Gaza, they shut off all of the water and electricity that Israel had established there.

They began to destroy anything that was from Israel, and then they began to say, well, Israel, you’ve got to come and give us water, because our water doesn’t work, and our electricity doesn’t work. Instead of taking the money and using it to support their own people, do you know what they did? They built miles and miles and miles of tunnels. I don’t know if you saw any pictures of those tunnels.

But those tunnels, some of them were amazing. And the whole purpose of the tunnels was that they could have a place to build arms, hide arms, hide their soldiers, and that they could dig tunnels into Israel and attack them, and that’s what their goal was to destroy Israel. What spirit is that? I’m going to tell you, there’s two spirits in the world.

One is the spirit of the Lord, that guides men who believe in Jesus Christ and seek Him. The other is the spirit of Babylon, the spirit of Satan, a spirit of death. You know, it’s interesting if you look at when Jeremiah is coming and he’s looking at what’s happened in Israel during his lifetime, and what’s going to happen in the future.

One of the things you see is the spirit of death that had come into Israel. That didn’t come from God. It came from the gods of the Chaldeans, the gods of the Canaanites, the gods of the Amalekites, the gods of the Moabites, the gods of the Ammonites, the gods of the Edomites.

They would sacrifice their own children and destroy men’s lives. What you saw happening on October th, two years ago, was the spirit of death. Now, why do I bring all this together? Because there’s a lot of people that don’t understand this spirit’s alive and it manifests itself in various ways.

And the Bible tells us that God’s going to judge it. In verse , Jeremiah calls and he says, “…Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul. Be not cut off in her iniquity, for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance, and he will render it unto her recompense.” If you want, just keep your finger there and go with me to Revelation .

God is announcing, and this is during the Great Tribulation, announcing that Babylon’s going to be judged. Babylon has manifested itself as a spiritual entity, controlling the economic things of the world, controlling the political things of the world, and controlling the religious things of the world. Once a night, we kind of emphasize when we’re looking at the religious aspects of Babylon and how it really is in the Roman Catholic Church.

They even have, in the Vatican, a giant picture on the wall of a woman riding the beast. Of course, they don’t tell you that that’s directly out of Revelation. As you look at this, the spirit of Babylon controls three things.

Religion, politics, and the economy. It says here in verse , after God is judging them, and the merchants of the world have invested all of their money in Babylon, in the philosophies of Babylon, it’s evident, all you have to do is look at culture and you can see it. It says in verse , And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you. Double unto her, double according to her works.

In the cup which she hath filled, fill with her double. So, John is revealing that the angel is given a specific message, and that message is, come out of Babylon. You and I are not to be part of Babylon, and believe in Babylon.

Now, how do we come out of her? Because the Bible tells us, too, that we are to be in the world, but not of the world. So, if God doesn’t call us home, we’re still here. We’re not to be like some groups of people that try to go to the hills and hide, or try to, like groups of Amish people that, for whatever reason, stopped in the s, and dress like the s, drive horse and buggies like the s, and think that somehow that makes them more spiritual.

That’s not what he’s speaking of. He’s speaking of what motivates your life. What do you identify with? What do you desire? The things of Babylon, or the things of God? And do you ask, God, give me a discerning spirit, so that I can see?

God loves that which he created, but God also wants you to choose, because your love would mean nothing if you didn’t freely choose him. What’s happening in the church today is there’s a number of ways the spirit of Babylon is manifesting itself in the church, and every time you see it come against the true gospel, it’s the spirit of Babylon. Some things.

Roman Catholicism. I said that Roman Catholicism is amalgamizing the world’s systems, making them, trying to Christianize them. You have, you go to, as I mentioned last Sunday, if you go to a mass and see the Eucharist celebrated, the wafer is put into the center of the monstrance, and the monstrance is, if you go and look into the pagan cultures of the past, is the idol of the sun god.

Why would a Christian entity have the idol of the sun god as the main focus that you put before people? Spirit of Babylon. And then if you look at it, they say that it’s not enough that Jesus would save you. His death on the cross really didn’t do enough.

You have to re-sacrifice him every Sunday, or every time you celebrate the mass. But that’s not enough. Then you have to do penance.

I was just out for an ice cream cone the other day, and there was a whole bunch of young Catholic youth there, and they said, we want to give thanks for the person that brought us the ice cream. And so instead of saying, we need to offer a prayer that God would bless them for doing this, you know what they did? They said, glory to gods and hail Marys. That’s who they’re offering thanks to.

And if you go, and my Bible tells me I’m to confess my sins to Jesus. But in Roman Catholicism, you confess your sins to a priest, and he tells you what penance you have to do to have that sin forgiven. But the problem with God is, you’ve got things like venial sins, and mortal sins.

And mortal sins, you have to have something to be confessed, and do the penance for a mortal sin, or you cannot be forgiven. So if I would do some mortal sin, and I was walking for confession, but I committed the mortal sin on the way, and I died, I had no hope. That’s not the scripture.

That’s the spirit of Babylon. It’s a way to maintain and control people, just like Nimrod wanted to control the people of the whole world. Just like Satan wants to control every person.

He wants them all to bow down to him, and his religious system. And Jesus came to set us free. We’re to come out of her.

We have to be part of her. What you’re seeing happen is unique in much of evangelical Christianity today, because Babylon has got its tentacles into the church so deep. I was talking to someone this last week, and they were giving a Bible study, and they were taking just a few verses, and the verses they were taking of, from, I believe it was the book of Revelation.

And he said, I didn’t go into depth at all, but I was just giving some oversight. And one of the ladies who claimed to be a Christian in the church, got up and was very angry, and just stormed out of the church. And her husband later came and said, you can’t teach that kind of stuff in this church.

Found out that the woman was heavily involved in yoga. She was teaching yoga to the other women in the church. What’s wrong with yoga? Well, yoga, at the heart of it, is the spirit of Babylon.

When you do yoga, they put you in different positions, and they say it’s to help you relax. But it’s not. The yoga positions are designed so that you will identify and draw from the power of demonic spirits.

They come directly out of the Hindu religion in India. You’ve got books out there, Yoga and the Christian. If you don’t believe me, read the book and see exactly how it’s done.

In talking to some other people, he said, what I was told is, if people are involved in yoga, one of the things they will get very angry at and don’t want to have you do is preach Scripture verse for verse. Why? It’s attacking the spirit of Babylon. Attacking the very thing they believe.

And Satan hates it. He does not want people set free. He wants them enslaved.

So today we have the spirit of Babylon manifesting itself in yoga and churches. You can go to churches in town here, and they will have signs in their foyers saying, Join the yoga class. Be taught Christian yoga.

Christian Hinduism? Christian Babylonianism? But you’ve got political entities, and I’m not saying that you don’t try to get people to promote that which is righteous in positions in politics. But when you do not differentiate between the belief system of Roman Catholics, Mormons, and Bible-believing Christians, you’ve got a problem. Because great confusion comes, and two of those are directly from Babylon.

Most people don’t know that the Mormon faith, because they think Mormons put on these nice little commercials on TV to talk about family, one of the highest divorce rates in the country is in Utah. But anyway, if you look at Mormonism, what its roots are is masonry. Because Joseph Smith was a mason, and he took much of his stuff from masonry.

It says that an angel appeared to him and gave him all of the Book of Mormon. The Apostle Paul says, whether an angel from heaven appear, I will not believe another gospel. Let there be an angel.

But today in the church, you’ve got people that watch The Chosen, which is produced by the Mormons. I’ve listened to a man who is one of the producers who says their whole philosophy is to get Christians involved so that they can eventually insert their version of Christianity into The Chosen. And if you look at The Chosen, The Chosen doesn’t go biblically.

It doesn’t go biblically. Matthew was not autistic. And Jesus didn’t have to have autistic Matthew tell him how to write the Sermon on the Mount.

That’s in The Chosen. There is not a black lady that’s overseeing the lowering of the paralytic into being healed by Jesus. That’s in The Chosen.

You don’t have John the Baptist and Jesus having an argument. That’s in The Chosen. And so you begin to even read the words of the author of The Chosen, and he says it’s % Bible and % imagination.

God’s Call to Come Out from Babylon

The Spirit of Babylon coming against the truth of God’s Word. And he says, come out from her. Come out from her.

John says, come out from her. Jeremiah says, come out from her. Those are the words speaking through these men.

People have said, well, isn’t it wonderful that Rover’s fleet got overturned? I am so glad it did, but guess what? Because of the day after pill, there were more abortions last year than there were the year before. And you can send the pills, you can order the pills through the mail, so then you don’t have to go to the doctor. You just get a doctor to write a prescription for you.

Order the pill, get the pill, take the pill, and you abort the baby yourself. Isn’t that great? Spirit of Babylon. Spirit of death.

How do you correct that? Well, if you’ve got Christians, that don’t know the difference between the Spirit of Babylon and the Spirit of the Lord, don’t know the difference between Satan’s goals and objectives, and what God’s Spirit desires for us to direct, you know what’s happening right now? Have you heard that we’re going to have the greatest revival that we’ve ever seen in America? I’ve been hearing that a lot. But go back and study revival. During the time of Jonathan Edwards, when Jonathan Edwards gave his sermon, Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, and Jonathan Edwards was not a great public speaker.

He read his sermons and, from all accounts, was not someone who could give a lot of emphasis to things but he read what he had written. And the Spirit of God moved upon the people so that they were literally shaking because they knew their sin was going to send them to hell and they really didn’t have a relationship with Jesus. That’s revival.

It’s not revival when I’ve got the young people of America and young men of America who are finally waking up and becoming men, but then where they go to find spiritual direction is the Roman Catholic Church, which I’ve already showed you has multiple things of Babylon in it. And that’s where they’re getting their spiritual direction. And you have somebody get on the radio who says that I got saved in an evangelical church but I still go to the Roman Catholic Church because I find so much air that’s forming what’s there of Babylon.

Why do you go to Babylon? For spiritual guidance. Why don’t you go to the Bible? That’s what’s happening in the church. And I want to tell you, the reason I’m telling you, I’m not jumping on you, but I want you to be aware because the deception is so great.

Man, I can be deceived. Jesus himself said, the barrier locked to be deceived. When you quit looking to God, when you quit seeking direction from His Holy Spirit, when you quit relying upon Jesus Christ, when you quit acknowledging the fact I’ve got a real sin problem and I need to walk with Jesus every day because He is the one that can deliver me from it, and has, and that I can know I have a hope of salvation that is eternal and I know that the minute I accept the gift of salvation and I don’t have to hang on and go, I hope I do enough, I hope I do enough.

That’s the spirit of Babylon. And we’re to come out from her. You and I are to walk in the power of God’s Spirit.

You and I should be so acquainted with the Word of God that we can see when the spirit of Babylon is raising its ugly head and saying, look at me, I’m in total agreement with you. Come join with me. I’ll give you one final example.

A number of years ago, my wife and I were involved very heavily in the pro-life movement. We were protesting at abortion chambers and they were going to hold a big rally in Grand Forks and we went to the rally in Grand Forks. First of all, this rally was being led by a woman.

And let’s say God can’t use women, but men are supposed to be the spiritual leaders. But the woman stood before us and she said, God has revealed to me that I need to have seven godly men with seven Christian flags walking and we’re going to march in sevens around the abortion chamber seven times and then God will close the abortion chamber. Well, I looked and the seven godly men, five of them were Catholic priests.

I looked at the seven Christian flags. If you go to churches, oftentimes they’ll have what is referred to as a Christian flag in front. It’s got a cross and it’s white and blue and red, the cross is red.

There’s one of those. And you see those in evangelical churches. You know what the other six flags were? Knights of Columbus, Pope’s flag, other flags of the Catholic Church.

And I looked at each other and said, what’s wrong with this picture? There’s a total blurring of what is Christian and what is of the world. There’s a total blurring of what is the true gospel and what is not the true gospel. And all of a sudden you’ve got all these people that are coming together for a good cause and that is to stop abortion and to save babies and to help young women that are caught up in this, but we don’t know what the truth is.

Francis Schaeffer said it best, you will be joined together in causes with those who really are against you, but they may be with you on a cause. You need to remember, simply because someone agrees with you on an issue doesn’t mean they do not need to hear the gospel and get saved. The Spirit of Babylon wants you to believe that because Satan doesn’t want people saved and he wants people to continue to think that they’ve got it all together because they’re doing this, they’re doing that, they’re doing that.

I don’t know what’s going to happen with our nation. I couldn’t tell you. All I can say is I pray for our President that he doesn’t encourage Israel to divide the land.

I pray for our President that he makes righteous decisions. But I can tell you this, this is not honoring to the Lord when we join with Babylon and call Babylon Christian. Those of you who were with me during the study of Jeremiah, remember God told a remnant of the Israelites to remain in Judah and Jerusalem.

And he said, I will be with you. Nebuchadnezzar will not take you into captivity because I want a light in the land to remain. These people went to Jeremiah and said, Go to the Lord, intercede before us, and we’ll do what he says.

We want God to tell us and we know that you hear from God. So go and tell us. And so Jeremiah came back and said, you are not to go to Egypt because they were going to trust in Egypt.

They figured Egypt could defeat Babylon. You’re not to go to Egypt. You’re to do what God said and remain in Jerusalem and Judah.

And he will bless you. The first thing they did was they got Jeremiah, tied him up, and they dragged him to Egypt with them and they went to Egypt. And guess what God did? He judged all of them because they didn’t trust in him.

And they were looking for answers that could justify their rebellion. Is that what we do in our life? Do we really want to serve God and walk in righteousness and holiness and not identify and embrace Babylon? Or do we just look for answers that will justify what we want to do? These are serious things. They are things that you need to take into account.

You need to look at and when you listen to people, you need to hear what they’re really saying. Because if they’re saying Catholic is Christian, Mormon is Christian, we’re all serving the same God and the same Savior. No, we’re not.

There’s truth and error. Combining truth with error gives you lies. Let’s just close in prayer.

Lord, I pray that you would just help us to understand the day in which we live. A day of deception. Lord, you said that just at the time that Jeremiah lived, he was to tell the Jewish people, come out from amongst her.

You’re telling your church today, come out from amongst her. Understand the spirit of Babylon that is motivated and undermined and driven by Satan. And he’s in rebellion against you.

And he desires that people would go to hell, not to heaven.

Lord, help us to worship the true and the living God. Help us to exalt the name of Jesus. And help us to walk in his power and his might being read by your spirit. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
