This morning, some of you may know, but many of you probably don’t know, the Jewish people will be celebrating Purim. And Purim means lots. And where it comes from is the Book of Esther.
Today I wanted to look at the Book of Esther, everything that’s happening in the Middle East, especially in Iran. And the thing that was happening in the Book of Esther was happening in Iran. It was happening in Persia.
Ahasuerus was the king of Persia at the time that Esther and Mordecai lived. And the Persian government had been supportive of the Jewish people. Cyrus, who had been one of the kings, had been the one that had set a decree that the nation of Israel would be able to go back into the land and rebuild the temple.
And later on, under Nehemiah, they’d be able to go back and rebuild the walls and reestablish the city of Jerusalem. Many people that were Jewish had the opportunity, when Cyrus gave the decree to go back to Israel and build a temple, to go back. But many of them stayed in Persia.
Up until just recently, when the Islamic regimes had become very, very hostile towards the Jewish people, there were many Jews scattered throughout the nation in the Middle East. And part of it was a lot of them never came back when they were taken captive by the Assyrians or by the Babylonians and had remained in the country. And their children and grandchildren and their descendants had stayed there.
Today, most of them are coming back. Go online and Google Jews in Middle Eastern countries about 100 years ago and Jews in Middle Eastern countries today and you’ll see a dramatic drop because the persecution has become so great. Well, persecution of the Jewish people is not new.
At the heart of it is spiritual battle. And even as we’ve been going through Daniel, and we’ll get back to Daniel again next week, but the thing is, even as you go through Daniel, you see that this, throughout history, has been a spiritual battle and the Jewish people have always been at the heart of it. The reason they are is because it’s through the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that the Lord would send His Word.
He would send the Law. He would send an understanding so that people would know who He as God is. And most importantly at all, He would send the coming Messiah that would take away the sins of the world, that would bless, as He told Abraham and later as He told Isaac and Jacob, the whole world would be blessed through them and their descendants.
Why? Because the Messiah would come and you and I are sitting as Gentiles here today as believers in Jesus Christ because of that blessing. Well, at the same time that God told that to them and set those things in motion, that we could be redeemed and saved and that the Lord would once again come and establish His kingdom upon the earth, Satan has desired to stomp out the Jewish people because if he could kill all the Jews in the world, God would not be able to deliver upon His Word and He wouldn’t be God. At various times in history it appeared that that could happen.
You see that the current Ayatollah that is no longer in this world but he has met his due reward and he was killed in the first bombing in Iran. His goal was to destroy all the Jews. If you go to the Quran, one of the things that it says is that their Mahdi or Redeemer or Savior will not come until all the Jews are destroyed.
He won’t come until they bring about this world war and rebellion that will result in His coming. They had God for life because they served Satan, not God. Well, I want to just lay this out that this is not something new.
The attitude of what’s going on in Iran amongst the Ayatollah and his leadership is not new. And as I mentioned, there’s various times in history where it appeared Satan was probably going to be able to accomplish his goal. One was during World War II with Adolf Hitler.
There’s been other times, Stalin in Russia. But there was a time where it came very, very close. And it was during the time of Ahasuerus who was king of the Persians and the Jews were scattered at that time as they were after the dispersion throughout various countries in the Middle East.
But Persia had control of those countries. And there was a man that was in the court of Ahasuerus. His name was Haman.
This morning I want us to look at why God sometimes tells people to do something and they don’t do it and the impact it can have generations later. Let’s begin by just reading a little bit of background out of chapter 1. And then as we go through the lesson, we’ll be taking a look at some other verses in the book of Esther and some other verses, some other portions of Scripture.
Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces:)
That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the palace,
And this would be in Persia.
In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:
4 When he shewed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, even an hundred and fourscore days.
5 And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king’s palace;
6 Where were white, green, and blue, hangings, fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble: the beds were of gold and silver, upon a pavement of red, and blue, and white, and black, marble.
7 And they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king.
8 And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man’s pleasure.
9 Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to king Ahasuerus.
10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,
11 To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.
12 But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.
13 Then the king said to the wise men, which knew the times, (for so was the king’s manner toward all that knew law and judgment:
14 And the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king’s face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)
What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?
16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
18 Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king’s princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.
19 If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
20 And when the king’s decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.
21 And the saying pleased the king and the princes; and the king did according to the word of Memucan:
22 For he sent letters into all the king’s provinces, into every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language, that every man should bear rule in his own house, and that it should be published according to the language of every people.
I wanted to read this so you understand the type of culture that they were living in.
First of all there’s a couple things here. The king had absolute power and authority but it only lasted until a decree had been made and then he could not go against his own decree. And that is why they made this decree and had to make this decree and it said that once it was made Vashti was banished forever she could never be brought back as queen because of what she had done. She dishonored the king by not doing what he wanted her to do when he wanted her to do it.
Now this is opening up the rest of the letter which we won’t have time to read it all this morning but I’ll be discussing it with you but I wanted you to understand the conditions of the nation that Esther found herself. And before we begin let’s just pray.
Lord I pray that you just help us to understand the lesson that you have for us and help us to see a thread throughout history of people that have hated you and hated your people and how that they have attempted to destroy the nation of Israel even as they are trying to do with Iran today. And Lord I pray that you would just help us to see how important it is for you that you fulfill the promises that you have given because it is a part of your character because you are truth and your word is truth your promise is sure. You have promised that the nation of Israel would be there and that David’s throne would be the one upon which Jesus would rule and reign from Jerusalem and that your people at your second coming would be upon him whom they pierced and they would give their hearts to you. Lord help us to understand the significance of this account and its historical record and also see how it applies to today. This we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
The king needed a new queen and so what he is going to do in chapter 2 is have a beauty contest and he wants to find the most beautiful woman that is most qualified to be his queen in all the land and so he sends out men throughout the whole province and you saw how big this province is how big this country is it is not just what is Iran today or Iran and Iraq it goes all the way from India all the way over to what we would see is North Africa and all throughout the Middle East this was his kingdom so he sends these men out to find these women and there is one woman that they find who is a young virgin and her name is Esther and she is a Jewish girl now it is interesting can God orchestrate events in history to bring about his accomplishment of his purposes the answer is yes of all these women and I have to believe there would have been a lot of very beautiful young women that were brought before the king he chooses Esther. He chooses Esther for his queen. Now it is interesting because you find also in chapter 2 you find that in verse 5 now in
5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;
6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
So she would be his uncle’s daughter so she in essence would be his cousin. He is going to raise Esther as his daughter so there was an age difference between them. Even though they were relatives he is his cousin now. As we see here those of you who have been studying the king and those of you who have been going through Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel.
Those of you who were in Isaiah in Sunday school class, we know that this was a time that they had shortly come into Persia after the Medes and the Persians had conquered the Babylonians. During the time of Daniel and Mordecai it says was one of those that had been taken away from Judah during the time of Jehoiakah the king and so that would have been during the time that Daniel and Ezekiel lived. So he would have been a contemporary of those men and now he had been taken away and he had been placed in the palace in Shushan and he was working for the king a hasherish in that palace.
Now the first thing I want you to understand is simply because you are in a difficult situation does not mean you do not seek to be used of God. Do not do that which is honoring to the Lord what we are going to see about Mordecai. He is he always sought to do the best he could. He always was honest and uplifting and upholding the Lord’s character. Even though you will not find God or the Lord mentioned once in the book of Esther you see God’s hand throughout this book. As you come Mordecai has this young woman Esther and the king picks her someone who is in his own palace. He has sent out throughout the whole kingdom but he picks someone that is in his own city. Who happens to be a Jewish young girl now she becomes the queen and it talks about that in chapter 2 in chapter 3 we are introduced to a man by the name of Haman.
I want to talk about Haman. I want to take a thread back through history to show you who Haman is and why Haman has such a hatred of the Jews. It says that in verse chapter 3
After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
Now when we see the Agagite that tells us Haman’s history it tells us Haman’s lineage and you find that lineage back during the time of Saul. When he was king of Israel the first king of Israel and the Lord told Saul to kill all the Amalekites all the Amalekites were to be killed in this village that Saul came upon women, children, animals and men Saul didn’t do it. When Samuel came he heard the bleating of sheep and the mooing of cattle and he asked Saul what is that that I hear and Saul told him well I didn’t think it was a good thing to kill all the animals. So I brought them back with me and I’m going to offer them a sacrifice to the Lord.
But that’s not what God had told him to do we do not understand the depth of the perversion of these people. We do not understand their hatred of the Jewish people. Saul also brought back with him at the same time he brought the animals a king of the Amalekites whose name was Agag the same descendant of Haman. He eventually was killed executed but there evidently were other descendants that were allowed to live.
Esau → Eliphaz (son) → Amalek (grandson).
That Samuel didn’t see because Haman exist. Haman exists now, in order to understand the Amalekites which you’re probably going, well why, would God say kill all these people the animals the Amalekites. Who are the Amalekites. Well, to go back and look at who the Amalekites. Amalek was the grandson of Esau and the Amalekites are the descendants of the son of Amalek. Amalek and the Amalekites always did that which was evil against the Jews throughout the Old Testament.
It’s given a number of times in accord that the Amalekites came against the Jewish people. They sided with the king of Moab to take Jericho from the Israelites. Shortly after Joshua had come into the land and dispersed the various tribes given them their land. When Joshua died the Amalekites went together with the Moabites and took Jericho away from the Israelites.
The Amalekites were always siding with the wrong people the Amalekites in Judges chapter 3 verse 13 and chapter 4 verses 3 and 33 allied with the Midianites in opposing Israel. During the time of the Judges and the Midianites were one of the main oppressors of Israel during the time of Gideon and other Judges and they would constantly come they did that which was very evil they came and stole their crops. They caused all kinds of havoc around them and they came against them and tried to kill them also the Amalekites did. That which was even worse during the time of Moses when the nation of Israel was being led by God out of Egypt through the wilderness. They were being led out of enslavement and they were being taken to the promised land there was one group of people that were constantly attempting to destroy them. It was the Amalekites but the Amalekites didn’t fight fair and if you look at in Deuteronomy in Exodus and Numbers where you see when they came out of Egypt.
You find in the book of Exodus the Amalekites attempted to come and fight Joshua. They were winning and you probably remember that there was the account where Moses was standing and the Lord said raise your rod up Moses and as long as your rod is raised up and your hands are raised up the Israelites will win but if your hands fall the Amalekites will win. Moses’ hands became weary and they fell and the battle began to turn for the Amalekites. So what you had Aaron took one arm and Hur took the other and they held them up. Israel prevailed the Amalekites. Not only attacked head on but they did that which is absolutely despicable.
The nation of Israel when they came out of Egypt most Bible scholars believe there was probably over a million people that came out of Egypt. You have a million people you’ve got a big camp you have a million people you’ve got a long line of people. You’ve got a million people you sometimes have those that are not as healthy. Those that may be weaker and they may begin to drag behind the Amalekites. Would come in and they would pick off the stragglers they would kill them and steal what they had they wouldn’t go and attack the main column they’d pick off the weak ones. God cursed the Amalekites because they did this and He said that they were to be judged.
Well, who were the Amalekites? where did they come from? as I mentioned Amalek was the son of Esau you go back Genesis chapter 25 verses 22-26 and you read of twin brothers Genesis chapter 25 verses 22-26.
Rebekah is pregnant and she doesn’t know what’s happening because she says it feels like there’s a war in her womb. And in verse 22 we read, Genesis chapter 25, we read, let’s begin up at verse 19,
19 And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham begat Isaac:
20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
21 And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the Lord.
23 And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
Now, these are the two sons of Jacob. Remember that they were two totally different men in character, two sons of Isaac, I’m sorry. These are the two sons of Isaac, and they are two totally different men in character.
It says that Esau was a man of the world. He loved the things of the world. He did not love the things of God.
As a matter of fact, he took no account of them. He really looked down upon them. And I want you to understand where these two young men stood in history.
Abraham and Isaac were in the line of descendancy of the one that was to bless the whole world, the Messiah. Which one of these boys would continue the line? Was it Esau the elder, because he was the elder? Or was it Jacob the second? Jacob, it says, had a heart for spiritual things. He had a tender heart.
We know that there’s a birthright and a blessing. We know that Esau came in from the field one day and was famished because he’d been out hunting. And he came in and said he was sure he was going to die.
And he needed food. And Jacob had prepared a mess of stew. And Esau said, I need to have that stew or I’ll die.
And Jacob said, well, I’ll tell you what. I’ll trade you the stew for your birthright. The birthright enabled that one to have the spiritual headship or leadership of the family.
It also meant within this particular family that this person was going to be the one that was in the line of the Messiah. The Redeemer of the world. Esau thought so little of that position.
He traded it for a cup of stew. That was Esau. Esau also lost the blessing.
Jacob was given the greater blessing by his father Isaac. Esau hated Jacob because of that, but it was really Esau’s heart that was the issue. It wasn’t Jacob.
But Esau threatened to kill Jacob at that time. And from that time on, there was tension, real tension between these brothers. So much so that Rebekah and Isaac sent Jacob to be with their relatives, her relatives, and away from Esau.
It’s there that he met his two wives, Rachel and Leah. And they were the daughters of Laban, his uncle. And he came back.
When he came back, there was a reunion of sorts in that the God of Israel prevented Esau from killing Israel and his family. And instead they embraced. But things were never, ever the same amongst those families.
Even though they were brothers. Even though all of their children were cousins. Even though their descendants were second and third and fourth and fifth cousins.
Even though they were of one family, of one heritage. You will find not only Amalek, but the Edomites themselves sought to destroy Israel just about every chance they could get. Amalek was the worst of them all.
And consequently, God’s judgment specifically fell on the house of Amalek, the Amalekites, in that they were to be judged. Now we come forth to Esther. And you come to the time of Ahasuerus.
And it’s hundreds of years later. But there’s still an Amalekite that’s there in that house. And his name is Haman.
And guess who Haman hates above everybody in the world? The Jewish people. And guess who his main contention is with? It’s a man who’s of his contemporary age, by the name of Mordecai, who’s a Jew. And if you read the book of Esther, you will see these men have about as opposite characters and as opposite desires as two men can have.
Haman was driven by self-centered greed and lust and power. Mordecai was driven by a servant’s heart. Mordecai sought to serve the king.
Haman sought to gain a position of power and authority so that he could have the greatest position of power and authority and he could do what he wanted to do in the kingdom. What happens is, Haman goes before the king. And remember, we read the first chapter.
And once the king makes a decree, the decree is set in stone. That was the law of the Medes and the Persians. And the king, because his wife, Vishti, didn’t want to do what he said, he banished her and she could never be brought back because he had decreed it.
That’s how serious it was once a decree was made. Haman comes to him and he tells him lies. Well, he kind of tells some truth, half lies and lies about the Jewish people.
And what happens is, by the time he’s done telling a truth, a half lie and a lie to the king, the king views it all as truth. And Haman enables the king to think that the Jewish people are out to overthrow him and they are not good subjects and they need to be put to death. And so, Haman has the king decree, and this is where the term Purim comes in.
Haman throws lots in which day the Jewish people are going to be put to death. And then he goes to the king and he says, on this day I want everybody to rise up in the kingdom against the Jewish people and put them to death throughout the whole kingdom. And every Jew shall be killed.
And the king has believed the lies of Haman and so he’s going to do this. And he doesn’t know that his own wife is Jewish, by the way, nor does he know that his own court helper in Mordecai is Jewish. And so he decrees that, that they’re all to be put to death on this day.
Well, what happens? Mordecai finds out Haman’s plan and he goes to Esther. Esther is the queen. You saw what happens when the queen does something that the king does not want her to do.
Right? She’s vanished. That is the same thing as you just didn’t, as the queen, waltz into the king’s chambers and say, I need to talk to you today. We’ve got a problem.
You can’t do that. You have to wait for the king to request you. Esther is, first of all, fearful, but Mordecai, her cousin, who is acting as her father, says, Who knows but for this moment you have been placed in this position to do this thing to save your people.
And God had specifically put her here so that she could touch the heart of the king and the impossible could be done. Now, I want to see a couple of things that I want to show you here. God can do the impossible.
A decree had been made. It seems like it’s impossible to break. There’s no way that the Jews are not going to be killed.
There’s no way that Haman’s decree is not going to go forward because it’s the law. Well, it’s interesting because what happens is you find out that the king couldn’t sleep one night. And as the king couldn’t sleep, he asked for the records of the history of the nation to be brought and read to him.
That would probably be enough to put anybody to sleep. But his steward comes and begins to read these records. And it’s recorded in the book that there were two men, two of his former stewards, that had plotted to overthrow and kill the king and take over the kingdom.
And a man had stood up and told the king about this plot and prevented it from happening. And the king says, Who is this man? And he says, Mordecai. And he says, What have we done to honor him? And they said, Nothing.
He said, Well, he needs to be honored. Go get Haman. So they go and get Haman.
And Haman comes in. And Haman is very proud and arrogant because he’s going to kill all the Jews. And the king says, I need to have you tell me what I should do to honor a certain man.
This man has been a faithful servant. This man prevented a catastrophe from happening to me. How should I honor him? Well, Haman thinks he’s talking about him.
And so Haman says, Well, what you should do is dress him in the king’s clothing for one day. Put him on the king’s horse for one day. And have him led through the city for one day.
And the people will praise him as they would the king. So the king turns to Haman and he says, Go get Mordecai and that’s what we will do to him. And Haman, I want you to lead him through the city.
This is not good for Haman. Then Haman has been building a hangman tower because he had plans for Mordecai. He’s going to hang him.
Esther comes now and she comes to the king. And she says she’s going to hold a banquet. And she holds two feasts.
And at these feasts, she makes it known to the king what Haman’s decree had done. And that in essence, Haman signed a death warrant on her and Mordecai as well as all of her people. The king is in great distress.
He can’t go back on his decree. But what he does do, he makes a second decree that all the Jews are to arm themselves and all the Jews are to stand up on that day. And all the people that will honor the Jews are to help them to fight those that would come to kill them.
And they are to kill their oppressors. And then he determines that Haman is to be hung on his own gallows along with his own son. What you’re seeing happening in Persia isn’t new.
What you’re seeing happening in the world isn’t new. But I want you to know we serve a God who is greater than circumstance. I don’t know how long this war is going to go on in Persia.
I don’t know how Iran… I do know that the whole main leadership was all killed in the first bombing. I do know that they’re creating a whole bunch of additional problems because lower down ranks like any army has orders that they’ve been written and given and they’re told to send rockets. I do know that the plan of the Iranians was to start out shooting a few rockets, let Israel use up all of their defenses and then just pulverize them with all the rockets they had left.
I do know that was the plan. I do know that they’re starting to do some of that. They started out with five rockets at Israel.
Now it’s up to 37 or 40 or 50 a day or fine. But the thing is, I do know some things. Number one, they will never destroy Israel.
They will not. The Amalekites could not destroy Israel. Why did God want all the Amalekites of that town killed? Because they had the heart of Haman and they weren’t going to change.
If you look at the people that are the spirits of Iran and their attitude towards Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, they want to kill Jews. They’ll kill them, whether they’re babies, women, children, old people, doesn’t matter, they just want to kill them. They have the heart of Esau.
They have the heart of Amalek. They have the heart of Haman. It’s also interesting if you look at history.
When you look at… I went and I looked. Where did Muhammad descend from? Muhammad descended from a tribe that was descendants of Ishmael. God said, when He gave a blessing to Ishmael, He said what Ishmael’s character was going to be.
He would dwell amongst his brothers, but he’d be a wild man. Ishmael came about as the world’s way to replace Isaac. And that’s why there’s always been a contention between the descendants of Ishmael and the descendants of Isaac and Jacob.
And the thing is, does it mean that someone who’s a descendant of Esau or a descendant of Ishmael can’t be saved? No, they can be saved, but they have to give their heart to Jesus. I know of some people that were strong, involved in the Islamic movement, involved in Hezbollah and Hamas, and got saved. And they’re totally different creatures than Christ.
They love the Jewish people. They love the God of the Jews. They love the Lord Jesus Christ.
But there’s a difference. If you’re unwilling to change, your heart’s filled with hate. And Satan wants one thing done before the end of the world, and that is to use it all to be killed.
Because then Jesus can’t come and rule and reign like He said. We’re looking at Samuel. We’re looking at Ezekiel.
Prophecies about the end times. We’re living in the end times. You’re seeing what’s happening in the end times.
And the same battle is here today for truth and for lies, for good or evil, for Satan or for God. I just want you to have a proper perspective of what’s happening in the world right now. It’s not something that’s new.
And it’s not something that what’s going to come out of this, the Scriptures, the prophecies tell us ultimately is going to lead to a battle, another battle. Ezekiel 38 battle. And the remnants of Iran are going to gather together with Russia and Turkey and Ethiopia or Sudan and Libya and come against Israel.
Except this time the U.S. won’t be there. And God Himself will come in a few years. But then it’s still not done.
And you’re seeing a one world government being put together piece by piece. And if you look closely, you’ll see it’s being done. One world economy a one world religion and a one world political system.
And I have no idea that our president has been doing a lot of strange things in those areas. But you need to look at things and look at the Bible and what it says and look at what certain people were and look at the thread that runs through history and why did Satan attempt to kill the Jews at the time of Haman, at the time of the Amalekites, at the time of the Herods when Jesus was born. At the time when Moses, he wanted all the male children killed in Egypt.
There’s a reason. And there’s a real battle. And we’re at the heart of it.
Let’s just close and pray. Lord, I pray You just help us to understand the battle that rages around us. It’s not just between the United States and Israel and Iran.
Lord, it’s a spiritual battle. Lord, help us to call on Your name to have Your wisdom, Your insight, so we can see how we are to pray. And Father, that You would preserve the army and soldiers and navy of United States soldiers and Israeli soldiers and Air Force personnel and keep them safe.
Keep the citizens of Iran and the citizens of Israel safe. Lord, give the Iranian people their freedoms out from underneath this demonic controlled government. And Lord, may You be exalted and praised through it all.
This is asking You with me. In closing…
