This morning, if you have your Bibles, it will turn with me again to Daniel, as we continue our study through the book of Daniel. And I want to come and look at Daniel chapter 9, and pick up where we left off last week. I want to begin reading at verse 26.
We looked at part of this verse last week. We’re going to read verses 26 and 27 this morning of Daniel chapter 9.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Let’s just bow in prayer. Heavenly Father, as we come before you this morning, Lord, we look at the 70 weeks that are revealed in Daniel, the 70 weeks of years, the 490 years.
And we look at the beginning of the 483 year period that has already occurred. And Lord, we look at the blessing that you have given, and you basically have put a hold on these last seven weeks. But as you have shared in your word and revealed to us through it, the day is approaching and drawing near where the last seven weeks shall go into place.
Lord, help us to understand how close we are, and help us to take advantage of the time. Help us to see the lateness of the hour. Help us to have a burden for the lost.
And Lord, I pray that you just speak to us through your word. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Last Sunday we looked at 483 years. A countdown that began when Nehemiah was told by the king of the Medes and the Persians to go back and begin to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. God said that would be the mark so that you would know when to do the countdown.
483 years from that particular day, the Messiah would enter into Jerusalem. And that was on what we refer to as Palm Sunday. The Sunday before the Passover would be celebrated during the week of the Passover.
And that Jesus, as He entered that Sunday, which would be recorded as 483 years to the day, from the day that the decree had gone out for Nehemiah to rebuild the walls, the people should have known their Messiah had come. Some acknowledged Him as the Messiah. A lot did not.
And those that should have known desired to reject Him and tried to silence Him and tried to be the cause of getting Him to not be acknowledged by the people as the Messiah, the religious leaders of His day, as well as the political leaders of His day. We know that the Sanhedrin, consisting of the Pharisees and Sadducees and scribes and religious leaders of the hour that had the Jewish control over the people with the blessings of Rome, for the most part, did not accept Jesus as Messiah. Even though, as we look in Daniel’s prophecy, He tells them when the Messiah would come.
And they should have known. We know that Jesus came. We know that He was proclaimed by John, as we said last Sunday, when John acknowledged Him before He baptized Him in the Jordan River.
And Jesus approached. He said, Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. John acknowledged Him at that point that He was coming as the Lamb of God, the sacrificial Lamb, and that through Him the sins of the world would be removed if one would but accept that sacrifice.
It says in the scripture we just read that at the end of these 483 years, the Messiah would be cut off. In other words, He wouldn’t be there after these 483 years for a period of time. And it tells us an interesting statement.
Daniel reveals to us the purpose of His being cut off. It was not for Himself. It was not because He needed to be cut off.
It was not because of anything He had done. But rather, He was cut off or allowed Himself to be put to death and gave up the ghost. No one really killed Jesus.
Jesus willfully laid down His life. The scriptures tell us that. And as He laid down His life, it was not for Himself.
It was for you and I. Now, after the series of events that occurred, that the Apostle Paul reminds us are revealed in scripture, as you go to 1 Corinthians chapter 15, in the first few verses Paul gives us a summary of the gospel message. And he says that the gospel message is found in the scriptures where it talks about that Jesus Christ was crucified according to the scriptures. He was buried according to the scriptures.
And He rose again from the dead according to the scriptures. And that’s revealed in God’s Word through the prophets of old and through the promises given throughout what we refer to as the Old Testament, because that’s the scriptures Paul had. And it shows that Jesus is the Messiah and that’s why He came.
Now, the Lord did something amazing. He had said there were to be 70 weeks of 7 years or 490 years. 483 years went to the day that Jesus entered Jerusalem during the last Passover that He was on earth for, where He became the sacrificial Lamb.
And that 483 years all of a sudden stops. The next 7 years don’t occur. And the next 7 years are what are referred to in scriptures by some different names.
One is Jacob’s troubles. It’s during this last 7 years that the nation of Israel will be brought under tremendous pressure and persecution by all the world. And especially during the last three and a half years, which is referred to in scripture as the Great Tribulation.
The whole 7 year period is referred to the Tribulation, but the last three and a half years is referred to as the Great Tribulation. It is during this last three and a half years where it will seem like it’s impossible for Israel to survive at all, because the world is coming against them. And they’re led by a prince that’s referred to here by Daniel, a prince that desires to destroy all that God loves.
And that’s his whole purpose of coming. And he’s coming aligned and given power by Satan. And the prince that comes is going to come and initially make a peace treaty, if you would, with the nations of the world and Israel.
And it’s going to appear that the persecution has stopped, but it’s only going to intensify once this man really reveals himself. As you look at this, I want us to bring us into some interesting things that are happening in our world today. How close are we to this prince coming? It’s interesting.
It says here in verse 27, He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. What covenant and who is the many? Well, the covenant is a covenant, a peace covenant. And it’s a covenant that he makes with the many are the nations of the world.
And specifically the nations that have been the enemies of Israel. Remember, as you look at the scripture, there’s one nation that is at the center of scripture. It’s not the United States.
It’s not Russia. It’s not China. It’s not Europe.
It’s Israel. Israel is God’s timepiece to let us know what’s happening in scripture, what he’s doing in the world, and how God is going to bring about final resolution to the problem of sin, rebellion, and the wickedness and injustice that is so prevalent throughout not only our culture, but throughout the world and the history of the world. You are sitting in a unique position this morning.
If you’re a believer in Jesus Christ, and I trust that all who are in the auditorium today have accepted the Lord as their Savior. If you haven’t, you need to understand what lies in store for those that do not know Jesus. If you’re a believer in Jesus Christ this morning, you uniquely understand who’s in control.
And it’s not the kings and rulers and presidents of this world. Even though they think they are. And it’s not Satan who God has allowed to be the ruler, as you would, of this world to establish what his philosophy is in the hearts of men and cause them to rise up in rebellion against God.
But the Lord is in control. And he’s going to bring about the results that he will bring about in the time that he has laid out and the timetable he has given. As I mentioned, you sit uniquely here this morning because you’ve accepted Jesus Christ.
You’ve heard the gospel. You’ve responded to it. You acknowledge that Jesus is the Lord who came to redeem you from your sins.
And not only redeem you from your sins, but bring you back into fellowship with God. Bring you back into intimacy with the one who created you and the one who has redeemed you. And you walk with him day by day.
It changes your heart. It changes your view. It changes your perspective.
And so that you should have an understanding. And as Paul tells us, to walk circumspectly, that is to be able to determine what is going on around us because we have the scriptures, we have the Holy Spirit, we have the promises of God, and we have God’s timeline laid out before us. As I mentioned, God in his grace and mercy caused the 483 years to stop before the next seven years began.
Those of you who picked up a little flyer that’s on the back table, if you don’t have one, get one after the service. It will help you to visualize exactly what God did. He caused what is referred to as the time of the Gentiles.
The time of the Gentiles is that God had promised to Abraham that it wasn’t just going to be the nation of Israel that would be blessed through him, that his descendants weren’t the only ones that would be blessed, but the whole world would be blessed through Abraham. Now how could that be? How could the whole world be blessed through Abraham? Well, the Bible reveals to us that God specifically had called Abraham, then Isaac, then Jacob. Out of the loins of Jacob came Judah.
Out of the loins of Judah came David. Out of the loins of David came the Lord Jesus Christ, as far as his physical, earthly, human descendancy. And as you see that line, you see that it began with Abraham and it ended with Jesus.
And Jesus came as God come in the flesh, who took on the form of a man who was a physical descendant of Abraham through his mother Mary, and he inherited the throne of David through his earthly, caretaking father Joseph. And he is the one that is the fulfillment of the promise that God had given to all those that trusted in him throughout the ages from the time of Adam until today. But the amazing thing is, God gave a special period of time which is referred to as the time of the Gentiles, where the gospel message would be taken in earnest to every tribe, tongue, and nation throughout the world.
And it’s amazing to stop and think about it. As you look around, the people that are sitting next to you, you wouldn’t know them had it not been for one thing in common in all likelihood, and that being Jesus Christ. You’re here this morning because you both accepted Christ as your Savior.
And otherwise, you may have never even known them as a person. But now they’re brothers and sisters who you fellowship with, who you worship the Lord with, and who God has redeemed just as he redeemed you uniquely. I want you to understand that God is working in the hearts of nations around the world, and as time intensifies, there’s some amazing things happening.
I want you to understand that the time of the Gentiles will one day come to an end, and that’s going to be when the person referred to in the letters of John as the Antichrist and first John. He’s also referred to as the one who is the beast in the book of Revelation. When he comes and takes power in this world, the time of the Gentiles in essence will be ended because a unique event will have occurred before that happens.
And that is not only the Gentile believers, but all those who are Jewish and have accepted Jesus as their Messiah and have become believers in Christ. The Bible tells us that before that last seven years occurs, Paul shows us in the book of 1 and 2 Thessalonians that the rapture will occur. In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, he says in 2 Thessalonians, we shall all be changed and caught up to be with the Lord.
And when that event occurs, every Christian that’s in the world at that moment will be caught up to be with Jesus. His church will be gone home with him. The Bible tells us that the last seven weeks can’t come until the restrainer is removed.
The last seven years cannot come until the restrainer is moved. And that restrainer, most Bible scholars believe is the church. As the church is here, as you and I are filled with God’s spirit and work, and we stand against the wickedness and evil of this world proclaiming the truth that is found in Jesus Christ that set men free.
Well, what’s happening in the world that shows us that the time is getting near? Well, there’s a whole bunch of series of events, and I’m going to look at it from two different perspectives this morning. First of all, I want to look at it from the Christian perspective. What is happening in the world as far as from the church and the ability of God to touch people’s hearts and lives? There’s some amazing things happening in the church.
Jesus said two things would happen in the last days. He said that there would become great apostasy within the hearts of believers in the lives of believers. In other words, his church would be filled with deceptions and lies.
It’s always been since the church was first initiated by the Lord right after the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you had the first church consisting of all Jews. And then the gospel was taken first by Peter to Cornelius, who was a Gentile. And it was revealed to Peter that the gospel wasn’t just for the Jews.
It was for the Gentiles as well. And what the Jews looked at as being unclean, and the Jewish people, if you’re an Orthodox Jew during the time of Peter, you looked at the Gentiles as being dogs. You looked at them as being unclean.
You looked at them as being unworthy. And God revealed to Peter, and he showed him all of this food, and there were things that were not kosher. There were things that were unclean.
And the Lord said, take and eat. And Peter said, but it’s unclean. And the Lord said, what you have said is unclean, but if I make it clean, it is clean.
And he was revealing to Peter that he was to take the gospel to that which he viewed as unclean, but God said that lives were going to be transformed in Gentiles’ hearts where they would be made clean through Christ. They would be transformed and they would be His. But it wasn’t just Peter.
We know that the Apostle Paul, who went about seeking to kill people who had accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, he was an ultra-Orthodox Jew who was going at the bidding of the Sanhedrin and the Jewish leaders of Jerusalem to Damascus to have Christians thrown into prison and killed for their faith in Christ when he met Jesus. And when he met Jesus on the road, all of a sudden his life was transformed forever. And he who had become the chief persecutor of the church became the one who was used by God to be the chief evangelist to go out amongst the Gentile nations, and he became the apostle of the Gentiles.
And he went and proclaimed the gospel message throughout what is now referred to as Southern and Southeastern Europe and Asia. He went as far as Spain, taking the gospel. He established churches.
He preached the gospel. He set up other missionaries to go. He set up men to be pastors.
Timothy and Titus are two that come to mind. He had other men that worked with him throughout the area proclaiming the gospel of Christ, and the church exploded in those days. Then what you see happening is the church grows and it expands, and there’s a great spiritual battle that comes against the church.
And this spiritual war has been going on this whole time, this time of the Gentiles. You’ll see that throughout history, there have always been true believers in Jesus Christ. There’s always been a true missionary movement where the gospel has been taken to those that didn’t know it.
But there’s also been Satan at work trying to undermine and destroy the impact of the believers on the world and prevent them from sharing the gospel. What you had happen is the state churches rise up, especially it began to really be seen during the time of Constantine, the emperor of Rome, who was losing power. Rome was losing its impact in the world, and Constantine saw something unique about the Christians.
The Christians didn’t cause trouble. The Christians didn’t go to war. The Christians obeyed and did, and wanted to live peacefully and proclaim the gospel.
And so Constantine made the state religion Christianity, even though from all indications, he probably was never a Christian himself. And as you look at what he did, he took his army, he marched them through the river. They went in one side and he says, you’re going in as pagans and you’re going to come out as Christians.
Well, that isn’t the way that you’re transformed. It’s not by going through water baptism of any kind. It’s not marching an army through a river that’s going to cause them to become Christians.
None of their hearts were changed. The next thing he did is he went and he lopped off all of the heads of the pagan gods in the pagan temples, and he had them commissioned to be restructured so that they had the apostles’ heads placed on there and Christian saints placed on there, and said, we are now a Christian empire. They never have been a Christian empire.
The Roman Catholic Church has never been the true Christian church. And it’s the remnants of that empire. And Satan has tried to prevent the gospel from going out and being proclaimed throughout history.
In Europe, you had a strong movement of Christianity throughout Europe. In the Scandinavian countries, there was an impact for Christianity. In Ireland, you have a strong impact of the gospel, the true gospel.
And today, it’s been transformed and they tell you, no, it was the Catholic Church that came. No, it wasn’t. It was the true gospel that was brought to the Irish.
And it was replaced by the Catholic religion and faith, which undermined the true gospel. And in the northern countries, they had state churches. In the Scandinavian countries, they had the state Lutheran churches.
In Germany, during the Reformation, Martin Luther brought the gospel to the common man, and he brought the Bible to the common man. But then he stopped and he did things, he caused that to become a type of a state church. It eventually evolved into liberalism and an abandonment to the true gospel.
Well, what’s happened in the last days that God also foretold? He foretold all of this, this apostasy coming, this undermining of the true gospel. In the last days, we see that it’s come to evangelical churches in America, which had always been a beacon of light to the world. The churches in America have sent more missionaries, sent more Christian literature, sent more Bibles than any other nation in the history of the world to the world.
But what’s happened? The evangelical church has been infiltrated by false doctrines, which undermine the truth of the gospel, which cause people not to place their trust in God’s word, to place it in compromised positions like psychology and other things that are brought in and combined with the gospel. And it becomes no gospel at all. And the people are told not to trust in this book itself.
But that’s not all he did. Satan also came in and he undermined things through having people combine this religion, the false religions of the world, with biblical Christianity. And you have today many Christians in evangelical churches, which we’ve shared before, that do yoga, contemplative prayer, all things that are tied to Eastern mysticism and Hinduism.
They brought in other religious systems. There’s even a group of people that are promoting what they call Christlamism, or they’re combining Islam with Christianity. You can’t.
They’re two opposite things. They’re opposite. Islam is a religion of Satan.
Christianity is the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Two opposite things. So that’s what’s been happening in the church.
But God’s word was going to be proclaimed in spite of us. I want you to know that throughout the world today, there’s amazing things happening in countries where it’s very difficult to bring the gospel. One of them being Iran.
I shared with you Pray for the Iranian People. I just read an article that said they believe that it could be as high as 80,000 Iranian protesters have been killed by the current regime. But what’s happening in Iran? In all of the Muslim countries, Iran is seeing more people come to the Lord Jesus Christ.
And guess what? There aren’t missionaries there. The only church that’s in Iran is an underground church. It’s very difficult to get a Bible in Iran.
Because if you’re caught with the Bible, you will be imprisoned and you will be killed. And so people, it’s very difficult, you just can’t go out and pass out Bibles on the corner. You can’t be a Gideon in Iran.
So how are people getting saved? Well, you know, for much time, the church, the evangelical church said, Oh, spiritual gifts, they’re not for today. Well, I want to tell you what’s happening in Iran. God is working and coming to people in visions and dreams and revealing the fact that Jesus is the Messiah.
I’ve read more than one testimony of Iranian people who have come to know Christ who saw the bankruptcy of Islam, the bankruptcy of the Quran, the bankruptcy of Mohammed, and they call out and say, Lord, if you’re really there, God, if you’re really there, reveal yourself to me, show yourself to me. And there’s been more than one person who’s had a dream where Jesus has revealed Himself and come to them in a dream. Or He’s spoken to them and say, give your heart to me and trust in me.
And people have given their lives and hearts and have changed dramatically. And some of them, they do things like, for example, one woman, and I don’t know if I shared her testimony with you before, I may have, but it’s important that you understand the commitment that these people have. When she became a believer in Jesus Christ, she got a hold of a Bible.
She began to read her Bible that said that you became a Christian and you were baptized as a sign of your commitment to the Lord, of what you’ve done and given your heart to the Lord. She went to some people that were Christians that she knew, and she said, I need to be baptized. They said, we won’t baptize you.
She said, why won’t you be baptized? Because this is a death sentence. If you’re baptized, your family will kill you. The state will kill you.
She said, I need to be baptized. The Bible tells me I need to be baptized. I need to do what Jesus says.
She ended up getting baptized. God preserved her life, even though there were those that tried to take it. The thing is, in America, we have the Bible.
We have opportunities. We still have freedom. But how many of us are that committed that when we read it and it says, do it, we do it.
We’re seeing in the world today, people come to Christ in nations where the gospel hadn’t been freely given, and yet they’re coming to Christ because God said He was not going to allow people that wanted to know Him to be denied. People come in and say, what about people that have never heard, never had a Bible, never had a missionary, never had a pastor, never had a church? How can God hold them accountable? The Bible says that all you need to do is look around and look at the stars, look at God’s creation, and you can see in the reality of everything you see, there has to be a God. You can see God, if you cry out to Him, He will come to you.
Because He said He would. Now I want you to look at some interesting things that are happening on the other side. So we’re seeing that God is moving amongst people where we’re saying He can’t move.
But I want you to understand, too, that Satan in the last days is going to do everything. It says in the Scripture that he’s going to become more active than he’s ever been because he’s going to be a roaring lion going about seeking whom he may devour because he knows his time is short. Satan doesn’t know when the church is going to be raptured.
We don’t know when the church is going to be raptured. So Satan doesn’t know when this last seven years of week, this last week of seven years is going to start. And so throughout history, you can go back and people say, Who’s the Antichrist? Do you think this guy’s the Antichrist? Do you think this guy’s the Antichrist? There are people today who are saying, Do you think this religious leader’s the Antichrist? Do you think this political leader’s the Antichrist? Do you think this man who’s influential is the Antichrist? The Bible doesn’t tell us that we’ll know who the Antichrist is, but we will see what his attitude is.
And throughout history, Satan has always had someone who would fit the definition of the Antichrist. During World War II, why do you think that Hitler, in Mein Kampf, said he wanted to have a thousand years rule of Germany? Where did he get that from? He was mocking God and saying, I will rule. I am the one who is the authority, not the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because the Bible says that Jesus is going to rule on this earth for a thousand years. Satan said through Hitler, No, you’re not. I’m going to rule for a thousand years.
Well, that didn’t work out so well for him. But he was the one of many men that could have fit the tune of the Antichrist. There have been others down through the history.
But I want to tell you some amazing things that are happening in our world today that are showing us we’re drawing ever closer to this last seven year period, which means the rapture of the church could occur at any time. Davos, Switzerland. You’ve probably heard of that city.
During COVID times, Klaus Schwab, who spoke with his nice German accent, who was raised in a Nazi home and had many of the beliefs that Adolf Hitler possessed, was head of the World Economic Forum. They meet at Davos, Switzerland every year. They just met at Davos, Switzerland.
And it’s interesting, Klaus Schwab is no longer the head of the World Economic Forum. Now it’s actually a Jewish man who took Klaus Schwab’s place. And he’s just as evil and wicked as Klaus Schwab.
And simply because you’re of Jewish heritage doesn’t mean you can’t be evil. But some interesting things happened and transpired at the World Economic Forum this year. You probably heard on the news that our president went over there.
And our president is putting together a Board of Peace. He had a giant board put up there and he’s telling nations to join his Board of Peace. And for one billion dollars you can be on the Board of Peace.
And he’s got nations from all over the world starting to join this Board of Peace. Now I don’t think Donald Trump is the Antichrist. But he’s sure making it easy for the Antichrist to come if he’s organizing all the nations of the world to come and agree that we’re going to have a Board of Peace.
The next thing you have to see is the speeches that were given by some of our political, not appointees, but they’re ones that are working for our government in the Middle East to bring about peace. Jared Kushner, who is the president’s son-in-law, gave a speech about what is going to be done with Gaza. And this Board of Peace that’s been introduced by President Trump, one of their first tasks is to transform Gaza.
Now, my wife and I were talking and she made a comment to me. She said, what does it say in the Scripture about dividing the land? Who does Gaza really belong to? Israel? It’s really part of Israel. They had Israeli settlements in there until they were given, and then all the Israelis were pulled out and the settlements destroyed by Israel so that the Arab, quote, Palestinians, and I’m putting my air quotes up here because there is no Palestinian people and there is no Palestinian nation.
It was given back to them. And then we saw the results of that. Billions of dollars pumped into this little spot that’s just a little tiny region of a little tiny nation, Israel.
And these people used it to buy weapons, to build tunnels, to make creative ways of being able to shoot rockets at Israel from schools and mosques and hospitals and try to kill all the Jews. And then on October 7th, they went out and did it. But Jared Kushner is introducing this plan.
And the world is going to get behind it. But if Gaza is really part of Israel, and the world is going to get behind this, and the world is going to rule Gaza, isn’t that dividing the land? And God says, there will be a curse upon those who attempt to divide the land. Now it’s interesting, they had, I listened to part of Jared Kushner’s speech, and it sounded like a great deal for developing a city.
You’re going to have all kinds of wonderful skyscrapers and all these different things and all these activities. And I was listening to some guys speaking on Bible prophecy, and the one guy said, you probably heard of 15-minute cities that the World Economic Forum wants to institute throughout the world, because their goal is to control people. How is this prince that’s coming, what does the Scriptures tell us? What does it tell us in the book of Revelation? What does it tell us in the prophets? And he’s going to come and he’s going to be a man who’s going to control everything.
He’s going to try to control the whole world. He will be the world ruler. One of the things is, you can’t control things unless you can control people.
How do you control people? You control their movements, and you control their economic ability to buy and sell, so they can only go and buy and sell what you want. They’re going to make, this man who was on this prophecy council said, I googled Gaza 15-minute cities, and guess what came up? That’s their goal, is to make 15-minute cities in Gaza, where you can only go, if you can ride a bicycle, walk, within 15 minutes that’s as far as you can go. You can’t go any further, unless you get their permission.
That is what one of the things is being done for Gaza. But the world’s going to control Gaza. Our president said, well, I’m going to control the UN, and the world will have to listen to me on what I want done.
This Board of Peace, I’m going to be the one that directs them and tells them what to do on the Board of Peace. This sure sounds like a set up for somebody that’s going to be trying to control the world. Like I said, I don’t believe Donald Trump’s the Antichrist, but he sure is putting into place a lot of things that the Antichrist will find very useful.
Then you may not be aware of what’s happening with the banks. Did you know that you’ve got a number of banks that are not real stable? Some major banks are not real stable. And our government is talking about how we can preserve our economy and our ability to buy and sell.
And in case you haven’t noticed, the dollar is going down in value around the world. You’ve got a group of people that are trying to have another base there. At the center of it is China and Russia, and they’re trying to base their economy on gold, and they’re buying gold like crazy.
Some of the largest gold mines in the world are in China. And they’re trying to make their economy based on gold and silver. And so they’re buying gold like crazy.
Up until this time, the world currency, a lot of times we think it’s the dollar, but it’s really been the petrodollar. You could not buy or sell oil around the world unless you did it with dollars. Saudi Arabia just broke away from the petrodollar.
They’re using other forms of currency to buy their gold, not the petrodollar. You’re seeing things like that happen with other nations. And so what’s going to happen is a lot of banks here are getting in trouble with silver and gold, and they buy, there’s what they call short buying, and if you don’t understand it, I don’t totally understand it, but you try and say, well, the price of silver is going to go down.
And so I’m betting that it’s going to go down. So I’m buying this. I’m saying that I’ll have all this silver because I’m going to be able to buy it when it’s cheap.
And then if you call and say, you want me to deliver the silver, then I have to produce it. Well, they said they were going to buy it short. Well, all of a sudden, have you noticed what silver is doing? It’s going through the roof.
The price of gold and silver are going through the roof. The U.S. dollar is going down. These major banks have, they’re on the wrong, most of them are on the wrong side of betting on silver.
And so consequently, they are going, they could be short called, and if they are, they have to produce either dollars or silver to cover their bet, if you would. And they can’t do it. So our president has said, we need to look at some type of electronic currency to replace the dollar.
I don’t know how soon it’s coming, but it’s in the works. How could I control what you buy if you’ve got dollar bills and you can go over to your neighbor and you don’t have to tell me you’re going to your neighbor and you can buy whatever he wants to sell you and you give him dollar bills and he gives you what you want. I can’t control you.
But in China, they already have an electronic currency. And they give you social scores. And if you try to buy things that they don’t want you to buy, or for example, you are caught passing out Bibles or tracts, or you are caught going to a church that’s not a state authorized church, you lose points on your social scores and you lose money so that you can’t buy.
So you go to the store to buy bread and you don’t have any electronic currency in your account because they’ve taken it away because you violated their social laws. What does it say in the Bible? This guy that Daniel talks about, this prince who’s coming, he’s going to control the world economy. He’s going to determine who can buy and sell.
He’s going to determine who will live and die. It’s interesting. Our nation is involved in laying the groundwork for this guy.
Both economically, socially, and through our peace board. And then in the Middle East, the Middle East is becoming a terror ground. And our president made the statement to the Iranians, go out and protest, we’ve got your back.
Up to 80,000 have been killed. And we’ve done nothing. Israel is considering a preemptive strike because the Ayatollah is planning on sending literally that last barrage, that first barrage of 900 rockets.
That’s going to look like a miniature thing. He feels like he is on his last leg, which he probably is. He’s got riots from within that they’re trying to control by killing.
He’s got pressure from without. They’re being squeezed financially. The equivalent of their currency in Iran is worth nothing.
It takes literally truckloads to buy anything of their currency. So he’s being squeezed. And one of the things that Israel is concerned about is they may do a preemptive strike against Israel because the number one goal that the Ayatollah has is the destruction of Israel.
And so some very interesting things could be happening in the Middle East in the next few weeks. And our president said, we’ve got your back, go in. At the same time, did you know that our nation has been supporting Kurds and has been uniting with Kurds for years? Who are the Kurdish people? This is important you know this because if you ever meet somebody who is Kurdish and you tell them this, which I told to a couple of young girls and they were amazed that I knew this.
I said, you’re Medes. You’re from the empire of the Medes and the Persians. You’re from the Medes.
They said, how did you know that? I said, the Bible tells me. The Bible tells me. The Kurds are the remnants of the empire of the Medes.
The Medes have always supported Israel. Read in the Bible. During the time of Cyrus, they supported Israel.
During the time of Artaxerxes, even though he was deceived and attempted to kill the Jews, he did everything in his power to support Israel and he made a secondary decree that they could defend themselves and they could strike first. They could do a preemptive strike. The Medes have always been Israel’s ally.
They’ve always been the U.S.’s ally. During the time that ISIS was going crazy and we were trying to destroy ISIS in the Middle East, you know who our greatest ally was outside of Israel? The Kurds. You know who we’re abandoning today to the ISIS president of Syria? The Kurds.
You know who we’re abandoning to Turkey’s president, Erdogan? The Kurds. They’re being slaughtered. We’ve got your back.
But all of this is being set up. And you can begin to see pieces coming together. We’re getting closer to the war in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39.
We’re up to chapter 11 this afternoon. But the pieces of that war are coming ever closer together. Russia, Iran, Turkey, pressures on them all from the peace board.
And they all hate one group of people. The Jews. You need to understand when it’s talking about here, this isn’t just, oh, this is some time in the future.
This is something interesting where we read and it shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. When I was a kid, I was told that’s way in the future. Don’t worry about it.
It’s way in the future. Well, I was a kid 60 years ago when I was hearing that. It’s not way in the future.
It’s on a board at Davos, Switzerland. It’s countries of the world coming together. And this is how we’re going to do peace.
And you want to know what one group of people in the world that they say are the biggest problem? Israel. At the same conference, Trump got up and said, there’s one group of people we’re dividing these into different categories. We have allies.
And we have only one ally in the world, and that’s Israel. That’s what he said. One ally in the world.
That’s Israel. Then we have those that we will work together with that are right underneath allies. And that would be Europe and some of the other nations that have been favorable to our policies.
Then we have under those, and he divided them and he went down this list of the people on the Peace Board. And you know who he invited to be on the Peace Board? Putin. And Putin said, I think I would like to go on the Peace Board.
And the U.S. can use the billion dollars that they’re holding and sanctioned money against me to put me on the Peace Board. And you think, when he doesn’t get to be on the Peace Board and Ayatollah doesn’t get to be on the Peace Board and Erdogan doesn’t get to be on the Peace Board and they’re all being put pressure on them to change behavior and beliefs and they all hit Israel and the U.S. says, Israel is our only ally. Who are they going to attack? Israel.
And they’re going to go there because they want what Israel’s got. Israel’s got oil. Israel’s got gas.
Israel’s got technology. Israel has all kinds of things that nobody else in the Middle East has. Like Israel.
Walk circumspectly. Read your Bible. Look at the news.
Don’t be deceived into thinking something’s happened that’s not really happening. And be prepared and understand. And like Rob Linstead said in the talk, and he spoke at the Bible conferences we used to go in Winnipeg for 25 years.
He spoke there just about at every one. His heart was for missions. His heart was for the church.
He would talk about how God had worked miracles on the mission field in Burma and in other portions of the world. And he said, if there’s one thing God has laid in my heart it’s I need to get in His word and I need to be praying and I need to be sharing the gospel. Because the days are short.
Understand the days are short. We don’t know if we’ve got tomorrow. But we’re alive today.
And we can share today. Let’s just close in prayer. Lord, I pray that you would just help us to be people that would walk circumspectly.
That would be aware of the times we live in. That you’d help us to be like the men of Issachar who knew the hour and were aware. And Lord, help us to have a burden for the lost.
As we look what’s happening in our countries, we look what’s being done in Minneapolis where people are being paid by our enemies to protest. Lord, give us opportunity to share with people that would do that to give them real hope. And the hope lies in Jesus Christ.
Lord, help us to realize the unique position you’ve placed us in at this moment in history. And help us to take advantage of it. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
