This morning, if you have your Bibles and will turn with me to the book of Daniel, we want to continue our study through the book of Daniel. One of the things that we need to understand is that none of us knows what tomorrow may bring. The scriptures tell us that tomorrow is uncertain and we don’t know about tomorrow.
Yesterday is gone and we can’t do anything about it, but today is the day of salvation and today is the day that we can make a difference. And so, we are to look to the Lord today. But there is one who knows the beginning from the end.
He is the Alpha and Omega. The scriptures tell us that God created all things. He set this world in motion and He shall bring all things to a final conclusion when He shall come to judge and rule and reign upon the earth for a thousand years.
And at the end of that thousand years, there shall be the new heavens and the new earth. The scriptures contain about 30% of the Bible is prophecy. The Bible is unique in that it has prophecies throughout it.

Did You Know?
Daniel 11 gives more detailed geopolitical prophecy than almost any other chapter in Scripture.
And somebody said one time, what is the full intent of the scriptures? From Genesis through Revelation, there is one purpose, and that is really in the book of Revelation tells it all. It says it’s the revelation of Jesus Christ. The Lord is revealed from Genesis all the way to the end of the scriptures in the book of Revelation.
The Bible tells us that He put everything and created all things and that He is standing outside of time and history, and yet He interjects Himself into time and history to accomplish His purposes. Throughout the scriptures, from the beginning of scriptures until the end of scriptures, as I mentioned, the Bible is interspersed with prophetic sayings. You had men that were given, as Daniel, visions and interpretations of those visions which spoke prophetically events that would happen, in Daniel’s case, some hundreds and some thousands of years after he lived.
We’re looking at Daniel chapter 11, and we looked last week at the first portion of that where he talked about a series of events that occurred between the solicits and the Ptolemies, two of the generals’ families that inherited part of the kingdom that had once been the kingdom of the Greeks under Alexander the Great, and that these two kingdoms were constantly at war with one another, trying to gain the upper hand with one another. And there were a lot of events, as we saw last week, that were specifically outlined by Daniel, even though these events occurred a couple hundred years after Daniel lived. And many people say, well, Daniel couldn’t have written this because it’s so accurate.
No, God knows the beginning from the end. And today we’re going to be looking at the last portion of chapter 11 where Daniel introduces to us Antiochus Epiphanes, who was one of the solicit kings that ruled towards the end over the nation of Israel and brought a lot of wickedness into the land of Israel, and God judged him for that. But he was a predecessor and had the character of one that is referred to in Scripture as the Antichrist.
And Daniel is going to present to us this one who is called the Antichrist in the last portion of chapter 11. We’re going to be looking at that this morning, and then I’m going to be taking a look at some verses out of Revelation chapter 17, which speak of what’s going to happen when the Antichrist comes to power. And then we’re going to look at what’s happening in our world today.
And there’s some interesting things happening that tell us this is being fulfilled in the day in which we live. So let’s begin by reading out of Daniel chapter 11 at verse 36.
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Let’s just bow in prayer. Dear Holy Father, as we come before you this morning, Lord, as we look at events that will transpire, before you shall return and establish your kingdom, and defeat the nations of this world, and you shall rule and reign from Jerusalem and Mount Zion. Lord, I pray that you would just help us as we look into your word to see events are being put in place even today that will enable this man to come to power who is totally against you. Lord, speak to us through your word. This day we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

It’s interesting as you look at this person who is referred to in other portions of the scripture as the Antichrist. Apostle John refers to him in his letters to the church as the Antichrist. He said there is an Antichrist spirit in the world.
Now, it’s interesting, and I’ve shared this with you before, but I want to share it because it’s important that you understand what Antichrist means. The term anti, when it’s used in Greek, has a double meaning. On the one hand, it means against.
So in other words, this person is against the true Christ. He comes to take his place. He wants to be the one who is the Christ.
And the other term that anti can mean is in place of. And that’s exactly what this individual does. That’s how he is anti.
He’s against the true living God and against the true and living Christ. It’s interesting, though, this particular scripture that’s given as a vision to Daniel. He sees the character.
The Lord reveals to him this man’s character. He says in verse 36, The king shall do according to his own will. He is self-willed.
He’s not governed by what others think. And he views himself as the one who is all powerful and has all authority. He is being inspired, as we’re going to see in just a moment in the book of Revelation, by Satan himself.
Satan cannot create anything. And what he does is he takes the things that God has created or that God has done, and he tries to take those and manipulate him for his own destructive purposes. God is, in the scriptures, revealed to us that God is one God in three persons.
The reveals to us that there’s the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The triune God, but yet he’s one God. They have three responsibilities, yet they are one God.
Satan creates his own ungodly trinity. And you see that that is really laid out well in the book of Revelation. Where it talks about that not only is the Antichrist the one who is to assimilate to the position that Jesus holds as the Redeemer and Savior of the world.
Because Satan sets him forth before mankind and says, this is the man that will solve your problems. This is the man that will give you solutions and answers to your life. And then also, Satan himself takes the position of the Father and gives the power to the Antichrist.
And then you also see in the book of Revelation, which we’ll look at again in just a few moments, in chapter 17, we’ll also see that there is the false prophet who would be like the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s responsibility, as you look in scripture, one of the things he does is he comes in a convictment of the need to turn to Jesus. When you became a believer in Jesus Christ, one of the things that happened in your life is you were brought under conviction of the fact that you were a sinner.
That you were in rebellion to a holy and righteous God. And that you had violated his character. And you had violated the truth that he possesses and is.
And consequently, you stood to be accountable for the things that you had done that were wicked and evil. And some people can say, well, I’m not that wicked. Because we can always, in our minds, find somebody who’s worse than we are.
But the problem is, God doesn’t look at how wicked each one of us is. He looks at the wickedness that we have done. And all sin is wicked in the eyes of the Lord because it comes against his character.
And what it does is it defies who he is and shows that we are in rebellion against him. Well, as the Holy Spirit leads us to Jesus and shows us the way of redemption, the false prophet in the book of Revelation, it tells us that he is going to come and he is going to turn the nations of the world to follow after the Antichrist. It also tells us that he’s going to bring all the religions of the world together in one religion, this new religion, where they’re going to worship the Antichrist as God.
And it’s interesting that it says in Daniel, the verses we just read, in the character of the Antichrist, it says that he will magnify himself above every god and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished for that that is determined shall be done. In other words, he’s going to have a period of time. And the scriptures tell us, again, Daniel reveals this back when we looked earlier at the rise of the fifth empire, which is a resurrection of what had once been the Roman empire, but it’s going to be much more terrible than the Roman empire was.
And we know that this resurrection of the Roman empire is going to cover the whole earth and there’s going to be total control. The Roman empire couldn’t control all of its citizens. If you lived under the Roman empire, you could escape and go to other lands.
You could hide from the Roman empire. When the Antichrist comes to power, that won’t be available. And we’re going to see that things are being put in place to make that happen even today that wouldn’t have been available before just the last few years and are even progressing much faster in the day in which we live.
Not only does he have no respect for any religion other than the worship of himself, it’s interesting what it says his view is of God. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers nor the desire of women. Now, what does that mean? The God of his fathers or the desire of women.
Some people said, well, that must mean that he’s going to be Jewish. No, it doesn’t mean he’s going to be Jewish. It just means he doesn’t respect the God of gods, the true and the living God.
He has no respect for God. The other thing, he has no respect for the desire of women. What does that mean? Well, if you look back and you go to the Gospels and you read about the Virgin Mary, one of the things that every young Jewish woman was looking for was, am I the one that is going to be the mother of the Messiah? And the desire of the Jewish women was that they would be the mother of the Messiah and that somehow God would choose them.
He has no respect for the desire of women. He has no respect for the Lord. He has no respect for Jesus, yet he should.
Because at the end of his rule and reign, by one word, Jesus shall fell him. Now, I want us to see some things about this man. But in his estate shall be honored the God of forces.
What is the God of forces? Some people have said that he will honor the God of forces would be Satan himself. Some people said from Bible scholars have said the interpretation of that could mean that he honors warfare and war as his means by manipulating, by force he takes control. By force he enables his power.
It’s interesting, Jesus, when he stood before Pilate, and Pilate asked him, are you the king of the Jews? And Jesus said, so you have said. But he asked him, is this your kingdom? And Jesus said, his kingdom is not of this world. Because if his kingdom was of this world, they would have risen up against Rome.
They would have overthrown the Romans. And that’s what the Jews were looking for the first time Jesus came. And he entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.
They were fully expecting him to come in, to cast off the Roman oppression, to once again establish the nation of Israel as the power of the region. And that he would be able to do this because hadn’t he fed the thousands? Hadn’t he raised the dead? Hadn’t he healed the sick? Hadn’t he spoken and things happened? And so all he’d have to do is just say things and the Roman empire could be defeated. But that wasn’t the reason Jesus came the first time.
He came to pay the penalty for our sin. And he came to lay down his life willingly so that the transaction could be made complete, that your sins could be forgiven by him who was without sin, and the penalty be paid by the shedding of his blood. This man’s a man of forces.
He worships the God of forces. That’s how he rules. The scriptures tell us, and you can go and look at the book of Romans, Revelation rather, and you’ll see how this man will rule.
You come against what he says, you are dead. You come to believe in the God of the Bible during his reign, you are beheaded. He is a man of forces.
And he worships the God of forces. It’s interesting if you look at Satan. Jesus refers to Satan as a murderer from the beginning and the father of lies.
He’s a God of forces. It’s interesting, Islam today, if you take the Islamic religion and you compare it against biblical Christianity, there are, sad to say, many people that claim to be Christians that say, well, Islam’s just like Christianity, we worship the same God. No, we don’t.
That’s the God of forces. Ours is God of love and truth. If you look at Islam, is there any place that Islam has gone where peace is followed? In our own nation right now, some interesting things are happening.
The people of New York City voted a Muslim socialist communist mayor. He currently has a Sharia police force patrolling the streets of New York City. They’re separate from the regular police force, but they enforce Sharia law.
A man went and bought alcohol and he was stopped by these police because in Islam, it’s against the law to have alcohol. A woman was not covered and they stopped her because she was dressed seductively and inappropriately. But you say this is America, but that’s the God of forces.
Where Sharia law in our nation is at 100% for a city, it’s in Dearborn, Michigan. There was a group of young Christians that went to Dearborn and they wanted to preach the gospel. It is not against the law in the United States of America, you have the freedom to share your faith.
You’re allowed to do it as long as you’re on public property, not trespassing on private property where someone doesn’t want you to share it. But as long as you’re on public property, you have the right to share your faith. These Christians went to Dearborn, Michigan and they begin to pass out cracks and talk about Jesus to people that were walking down the street.
Dearborn is majority of the people are Muslim. The police came and said, you can’t do that here. They said, our constitution says we can.
Not in Dearborn, Michigan. You continue to do this and we’ll put you in jail. You continue to do this and we’ll bring you up before the judge, the magistrate for violating our city laws.
They are completely governed by Sharia law. A God of forces. Now, I want you to turn with me to Revelation chapter 17.
And in Revelation chapter 17, it talks a little bit more about this person.
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
And there came one of the seven angels, which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither, I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters, and whom the king of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness.
And I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Where did you see another beast that had seven heads and ten horns.
As we were going through the book of Daniel, Daniel saw that there was this last beast that rose out of what had once been the Roman Empire, came as a beast, and he had seven heads and ten horns. Now, the ten horns are a symbol of ten kingdoms.
And of these ten kingdoms, they rule the earth. I want to share some things with you which you may have never heard or may know something about. But in the early 1970s, there was a group of individuals of which Klaus Schwab was one of the main initiators.
And they started what they referred to as the Club of Rome. And the Club of Rome was going to determine how they could establish a one world economy, a one world government, and a one world religion. One of the first things they did, and I don’t think they were necessarily reading Revelation or Daniel, but they divided the earth into ten separate regions.
Region number one was North America, Greenland. North America consisting of Canada, the United States, and Mexico. They also divided region two into Eastern Europe.
Region two manifested itself as a region. You remember, it was, I believe it was the late 80s or early 90s. I think it was the late 80s that Europe became the European Union.
And it became a Europe without borders. You could travel from country to country in Eastern Europe and not have to have the passports you once had. They developed the common currency, which was referred to as the euro.
And all of Western Europe became part of that region. Region two, according to the Club of Rome. And they divided the world into these various regions.
And you can go on, you can Google Club of Rome world regions, and it’ll bring up a map showing you all ten regions, how they’ve divided the world. There’s been interesting things happening recently in our own government. Canada, Mexico, and the United States under Bush too.
You had NAFTA. And the purpose of NAFTA, it was sold as a deal where it was going to enable Canada, the United States, and Mexico to have free trade. There wouldn’t be any money exchange.
And they even were beginning to develop a common currency, and it was referred to as the Amaro. And that was going to replace the Canadian dollar, the US dollar, and the Mexican peso. That never came to fruition.
But there were at the same time at the end of George Bush’s last term, he was developing along what is we refer to as I-29. I-29 would become a superhighway going all the way from Mexico into Canada. And it would become the main means by which they could transport and trade all this material.
And it would be the main trucking route between the North American group, Area 1. Well, it never came about. It was supposed to happen by the year 2000. They were going to have all these things come to fruition.
It never did. But it’s interesting when President Trump came to office, and I’m not saying President Trump’s the Antichrist, but what I am saying is, men can be used to accomplish even Satan’s purposes, and not even maybe realize they’re doing it. What were some of the things that President Trump said when he first got into office the second time? Remember how he said, I want to make Canada the 51st state? And he kept harping on that.
And all of a sudden, he had Saskatchewan and Alberta, where their governors came out and said, we want to join the United States. And even to this day, I think that they’re still attempting to have talks with Washington and how that could be accomplished. I don’t think Canada, right at this moment, is planning on allowing two provinces to become part of the state.
But it’s just to let you know, the very thing that the Club of Rome said was going to happen is trying to be promoted. What’s another thing that President Trump said? We need Greenland. The United States needs to control Greenland.
And he’s doing everything he can to gain control of Greenland. And if you look at the Club of Rome, Area 1 of these 10 areas of the world which are going to be the areas of the world which will be governed, because it’s a whole lot easier to govern a people if you have regions to govern than if you have the whole world to govern. And Greenland was one of the parts of the North American Territory 1. But there’s even something more that President Trump did.
If you look at the Club of Rome’s map, they do not include Central America. It’s cut off at Mexico. But there’s come out a group of people that President Trump has made very prominent in the White House and they’re called technocrats.
Who are technocrats? Most people don’t know about them. In the 1930s, there was a group of very intelligent scientists who didn’t believe in God. And they said the way that we are going to preserve and save the world is for us to take over.
No longer have politicians or religion. And we will rule. I don’t know if you’re aware, but just recently this winter, every billionaire technocrat was at the White House to meet with President Trump.
People like Bezos from Amazon, Zuckerberg from Facebook and his sites. And one that has become very close to President Trump, Elon Musk. Most people don’t know that Elon Musk is the grandson of the main technocrat of Canada in the 1930s.
And that that man’s goal was to turn Canada into a technocracy and follow it with the United States. He later moved to South Africa and that’s where Elon Musk’s mother was married and Elon Musk was born. Elon Musk is very much into technocracy.
He’s also very much into another very close and married field and that is the fact that you can marry humans and machines. The Bible said and Jesus said in Matthew chapter 24, as it was in the days of Noah, so it shall be in the last days. If you go and read what happened in the book of Genesis chapter 6, you will see that what happened, one of the things that caused God to bring judgment on the earth.
It says, men did that which was wicked continually in the eyes of the Lord. But they also, Satan had a plan to destroy the DNA of mankind. And it says in Genesis chapter 6 that angels cohabitated with women and out of that union came men of renown.
The word men of renown refers to men of great ability, great strength, giants if you would. Elon Musk amongst others has said that they can make man live longer and maybe live eternally by marrying the computer to our brains. It’s interesting.
If you look at, the Bible tells us that one of the things that’s going to happen in the last days is that this man that Daniel speaks of that has no regard for religion, that has no regard for any authority except himself and the God of forces, Satan. That this man when he comes to power will want to control every one of us in here. And how do you do that? I remember as a kid I’d go to prophecy conferences as a young boy and they’d preach about revelation.
They’d talk about, well it talks about that these events are going to occur. I don’t know how you control the whole population of the world. COVID-19 was a test run.
I firmly believe it was. How much will people, can you control people by fear? You had a virus that was 99.9% ineffective of harming a child. And yet they’re running around saying your child needs to have booster shots.
They shut down the whole world through fear. There were people who said I normally wouldn’t do this but I’m going to do it because they say I’ll die if I don’t take this shot. Fear.
What could cause even greater fear than death? I don’t know about you but I listen to the news once in a while. And if you listen to the economists they say that the U.S. economy is shaky. The dollar is losing value and that’s why gold and silver are going up through the roof.
Right now gold is worth over $5,000 an ounce. You could have bought gold when Richard Nixon took us off the gold standard a few hundred dollars. I think it was $300 an ounce in the 1970s.
Silver is currently approaching $100 if it’s not over $100 an ounce. Whenever silver and gold rise it means the dollar is going down. We could wake up one morning and have what they did in India.
In India the people went to bed at night thinking they had a healthy amount of money in their bank account. They woke up the next day and said you’ve got three hours to go and exchange your current form of currency for the new currency. Or otherwise you’re losing it all.
If you woke up and you’d been saving for retirement and you had a 401k and you had a good amount of money saved in your 401k and all of a sudden you woke up and your 401k is gone because the whole market has crashed. Could there be fear? The Bible tells us that the one who is going to be this prince, the Antichrist, is going to control and manipulate people through currency, through your ability to buy and sell. And he says what he’s going to do is you’ll have to have a mark on your hand or your forehead in order to buy or sell.
If you refuse to take the mark you will not be able to buy or sell. Did you know that Bill Gates and the Gates Foundation holds a patent on the invisible tattoo? The invisible tattoo is a series of electronic nanoparticles you put either in your hand or elsewhere in the body. And when you go through you can scan and it will have all of your pertinent information on it.
It will have your health information and it will have your economic information. So you don’t have to worry about your local advisor, their company going broke and all of a sudden you have no stocks left because it’s all going to be here and you just scan. You don’t have to carry around credit cards worrying about somebody coming up with a fancy machine to scan them and take all your credit card information because it’s all going to be here.
It’ll be sold as a great idea. You already have some of this that’s been sold to us. Try to fly on an airplane without a real ID.
What is a real ID? Well, it’s a driver’s license that’s got encoded in it more information than just your name, birthday and driver’s license number. It’s got a bunch more information. It’s sold to us as security, but it’s really the first form of an ID, a national ID in America.
A national ID in America has always been fought against. But your social security number is supposed to be just for you. Well, people steal your social security numbers.
We’ve got all kinds of illegals coming into the country. They have people that go on the black web, get social security numbers, create a social security card. That looks just like the real social security card.
And they’ve got your number. And all of a sudden, some guy in Alabama is earning money on my social security number. But if I got all the information right here, what are they going to do? Cut off my hand? Take my hand around? Or cut off my head? Isn’t that a great idea? He’s going to sell it as that.
But it’s going to enable him to not only control what you buy or sell, but control you. They have a form of this in China right now. It’s called the social credit score.
In China right now, everything is done by electronics on your banking account. They want to do that here, too. Get rid of a cash.
Not have cash, not have coins. Everything will be done electronically. And when you do it electronically, if you go to the grocery store.
We signed up for this time ago. Never go to that grocery store anymore, so they don’t know what we’re buying. But you signed up for it because it was supposed to help.
So they would always have the products that we wanted and would track what you bought there. I don’t know if you ever signed up to give me your phone number. And then you’re supposed to get a little discount and all this stuff.
But then they all know what everything that you buy at that grocery store. They know what food you buy. They know what you do with it.
This is going to be even more so. And that’s what this man is going to do. And there’ll be 10 regions of the world designed to control the population.
And it’ll be done, very well be done through electronic currency. Controlled by a mark which is an invisible tattoo. Today, Amazon is already putting something similar to this into their stores.
Where you can walk through the store. And you’ve got an account with Amazon. And you walk through a scanner.
And it scans you. So it gets your information, gets your account number. You don’t give a card to anybody.
There’s no clerk. You just walk through. It gets all the information off of you.
You go pick up all the items you want. You walk out, walk through the same scanner. It scans the barcodes and the electronic codes on the items.
And it charges them to the account that it’s gotten off of you. And you get the bill sent to your bank or wherever you want it sent. They’ve got that technology at some Amazon places of purchase today.
These things are real. These things are here. Is it something we have to fear? Guess what? God knew it was coming thousands of years ago.
God knew that Satan can’t do anything or create anything apart from taking that which God has created. And really trying to do something with it which ultimately causes it to be destroyed. But I want you to see also something out of Revelation chapter 17.
It says here in verse 3 that this beast had a woman on its back. And the woman sat upon the beast and she was clothed in scarlet and full of the names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And that’s described as the beast and the names of blasphemy.
The woman, and you can read also further earlier in Revelation, this woman represents the religious system and the false prophet. So the false prophet is sitting upon the beast. He’s the one that’s motivated by the beast.
And he is the one that brings the people to the beast. And he brings and organizes the religions of the world to bring them to the beast. But the beast has no regard for religion and ultimately casts the false prophet off.
Is this just allegory? Is this just something that is seen and not real? I think that if you look and begin to look at what the Bible says and read prophecy about the last days and look at what’s happening in our culture in America today. I failed to tell you something that is very interesting. The technocrats who say that they want to come to power and very well could be that ten of these billionaires could be set up as the leaders of the ten regions of the world.
I don’t know. But the technocrats modified area one of the ten areas. And they said that the area should go down.
North America should include Canada, United States, Mexico, Central America, down in Venezuela. There’s really interesting things that have happened. Not only did President Trump say we need to get control of Greenland.
But one of the first things he did in office was say we are taking back the Panama Canal. Which gives us in essence control of Central America. And then you’ll remember about a month ago we went in and took out the president of Venezuela because of drugs which is a good thing.
But now the very map that the technocrats put out as area one is the areas that President Trump says should be joined together. Remember he said he’s going to go down to Mexico and have a talk with those people. Because they’re allowing drugs to come up through their borders.
And they’re allowing things and we’ve got to get it under control. So he’s going to go down and have a talk with them. If the Bible can be accurate prophetically to events that are in the news today how much more accurate is it when it comes to our salvation? You know there’s a lot of people that say well why would I believe that I have to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior? If you read the Bible from beginning to end it reveals Jesus.
In closing I share with you the account of a non-believing woman. An English professor. A lesbian.
She ended up moving next to a pastor. The pastor didn’t preach to her or preach at her. The pastor didn’t send her condemning letters because of her lifestyle and her beliefs.
They invited her over for supper. And they’d pray for the food before every meal. But they never pushed the Bible on her.
They just lived their Christian life before her. And they would talk about it when the discussion got around to those areas. They’d ask her have you ever read the Bible? She said no.
They encouraged her to read the Bible. But they never invited her to church. She couldn’t figure out why wouldn’t they invite me to church.
Well what she did is she said being an English professor and I love to read. She said I picked up a Bible and I began to read it. Now I read the Bible like I read a normal book.
You read a book. You pick it up. You don’t start in the middle.
You don’t start at the end. You start at the beginning and read it straight through. So she said I did that and I did it I think it was either four or five times she read the Bible straight through.
And she said the amazing thing that I saw in the Bible was something I didn’t hear people that hated the Bible say was there. It talked about love. It talked about forgiveness.
It talked about a purpose in being created and having a life. She ended up visiting the church and ended up accepting Jesus Christ. Ended up giving up her abominable lifestyle.
Ending up marrying someone who was a pastor. Ending up having children and grandchildren. And ended up loving the Lord.
That is the power of God’s word. And if God’s word can be true about events that are happening in the news today thousands of years after they were written how much more so about your salvation for eternity. How much more for the purpose that God created you.
Everyone that’s in this room today whether you believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Savior or don’t you were created with one purpose. Number one, you were created in God’s image for the purpose of bringing glory to your Creator. But God didn’t force you to do that.
Instead He gave you the choice to either believe who He is or rebel against Him. I think that what we’re seeing happen in the world today is evidence of where the two different directions ultimately take us. You believe in this book, it’s filled with love.
You believe in Satan and you’re following the God of forces. That leads to death, lies and perversion. As we continue and we’ll look at the last portion of Daniel and see what else he has to say prophetically next week.
May we understand that God gave us these prophecies for a purpose. So that we wouldn’t have to sit and wring our hands and be all worried and what’s going to happen next? Am I going to lose my 401k? God knows all about it. And there are things much more important than the amount of money you have in a bank account.
It’s your relationship with your Creator. Let’s just close in prayer. Lord, I pray that you just help us to understand and look at the events that are transpiring around us how people want to destroy the human race how people want to bring all kinds of wicked things death, but you want to bring life.
You offer hope, love, peace in the face of turmoil. Lord, we pray today for people in Iran held in check by a horrible regime that loves death. And yet in the midst of that situation there are people coming to know you.
You’ve revealed yourself to those that are crying out for you. People have come to faith in Christ because you will not not respond to the one who cries out in faith saying, Lord, show me the way. Lord, help us to be those who will show others the hope that we have in Jesus and help us to understand we have nothing to fear.
This we ask in Jesus’ name.
