Ezekiel 23 Explained | A Warning Against Spiritual Unfaithfulness

Ezekiel 23 presents a powerful and sobering message through vivid imagery, revealing the spiritual unfaithfulness of God’s people. Using the parable of two sisters, the chapter exposes the depth of Israel and Judah’s idolatry and their departure from the Lord. Though difficult in its language, this passage serves as a serious warning about the consequences of turning away from God and pursuing worldly desires. The Parable of Two Sisters (Verses 1–4) Oholah (Samaria) and Her Unfaithfulness (Verses 5–10) Oholibah (Jerusalem)…

Daniel 9:20–27 Explained: The Prophecy of Seventy Weeks

Daniel’s 70 Weeks Prophecy: Meaning, Timeline, and End Times Insight Daniel 9:20–27 contains one of the most remarkable prophecies in all of Scripture—the prophecy of the seventy weeks. Given while Daniel was in prayer, this passage reveals God’s precise timeline for Israel, the coming of the Messiah, and events that reach into the last days. Through the message delivered by Gabriel, we are given both understanding and assurance that God’s plan is unfolding exactly as He has declared. This morning,…

Ezekiel 22 Everything that happened to Judah is happening in America

Turn back to our study in the book of Ezekiel, and we’re going to be taking a look tonight at Ezekiel chapter 22. Ezekiel chapter 22. This particular chapter, although it’s 27 verses long, can barely be divided into four parts. And this evening we’ll be looking at those, and we’ll be taking a look at what the message is that the Lord gives Ezekiel to share with the nation of Israel, or Judah, at this particular time in history.…

The Resurrection, Part 6

We do want to welcome you to the service this morning and thank you for coming out on this beautiful day and to honor the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This morning, just a couple things I’d like to share with you. First of all, as you came up, you probably saw we have a new sign on the front of the church. You know, I do want to thank Paul for making that sign for us.…
Resurrection

The Resurrection, Part 5

This evening, I want to take another week to step away from the book of Ezekiel. Instead, I want us to look at what Jesus was doing during the final week of Passover—the evening before the events began that would lead to His arrest, the false accusations against Him, the illegal trials, and ultimately His condemnation to death, His crucifixion, His burial, and His resurrection. As we mentioned on Sunday, Jesus had been speaking with His disciples, telling them about…
Resurrection

Resurrection, Part 4

This afternoon, if you have your Bibles, turn with me to Matthew 23, This morning we were looking at the fact that Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and then we looked at Monday and Tuesday after that, and how he encountered the scribes, the Pharisees, the Herodians, and the Sadducees, and various things that happened. And he was in turn teaching the people the truth of his word, and they were challenging him. And as we ended the service today, one…
Resurrection

Resurrection, Part 3

This morning, if you have your Bibles and will turn with me to Matthew’s Gospel, Matthew chapter 21. As I mentioned, I want to look at events surrounding the day that Jesus came in to Jerusalem during the Passover week. Some events that occurred in the next couple of days we’re going to look at this morning. Because they all led up to what we’re going to be seeing happens. It would have been on Thursday of that week. He…

Ezekiel 20 Explained: Israel’s Rebellion and God’s Faithfulness

If you turn with me to Ezekiel chapter 20, and we want to look at this chapter this evening. Ezekiel’s in, remember he’s in the land of Babylon. He’s ministering to those that have been taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar. And some of the people that have been taken captive have come to Ezekiel and want to seek his advice. And so that’s what we’re going to be looking at tonight. And God wants them to understand that they haven’t dealt…
Resurrection

Resurrection, Part 2

This morning, if you would take your Bibles and turn with me to Luke’s Gospel Chapter 19. Luke’s Gospel, and I’d like to begin reading at verse 28 through the end of the, through verse 44.  And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. Luke 19:19-44 29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,…

Ezekiel 19 Explained: The Lioness, the Princes of Israel, and God’s Lament

Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel, 2 and say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions. 3 And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men. 4 The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.…
Resurrection

Resurrection, Part 1

Today, in the next couple of weeks, we’re going to be departing from our study in prophecy, and we’re going to be looking at the celebration that we’re doing where we’re celebrating Resurrection Sunday in two weeks, or yeah, it’ll be two weeks from today. And I just wanted to lay the groundwork for the events that transpired before Resurrection Sunday. And so today we’re going to be looking at events that occurred about a week before the week of…

Ezekiel 18, You’re accountable for your decisions

This evening, if you have your Bibles, turn with me to Ezekiel chapter 18. Ezekiel chapter 18 is a rather interesting chapter, especially in light of what many people believe today. Today, many people are turning to a fatalistic approach when it even comes to the Bible and our ability to know the Lord. People think that, well, God just is arbitrary and picks whom He will to come to know Him. And there’s a whole concept of people saying…
