Learn: Hebrews 12:28-29
28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 for our God is a consuming fire.

1. What challenge to our hearts is given in verse 25?
2. Who is “he that speaketh” referring to? How does he speak to us? Hebrews 1:1, 2; I Peter 1:19-21; Ephesians 2: 19-20; Revelation 22:18-19
3. How does this relate to command in verse 25 relate to the people of Israel’s response to God’s voice in Exodus 20:18-20; Hebrews 12:19?
4. Even though those who heard God speak audibly refused him, “they to escaped not.” What does that phrase mean? Hebrews 2:2
5. The children of Israel heard God speak on _____________ and could not escape what he said, but the warning for us is that God speaks to us from ________________________.

11. Though all things that we know of this earth will be changed, what can we be assured of? Malachi 2:6; Hebrews 6:18
12. Find and record other Scripture that assure us of the unchangeableness of our God.
13. Vere 27 reminds of that which will be shaken and removed. What are those things?
14. What are the things which cannot be shaken and will remain? v 27; I Peter 1:25; Daniel 2:44
15. Who will inherit and inhabit this kingdom which cannot be moved? v 27; Revelation 11 : 18b; John 3:16; Revelation 21:6, 7; 22:3, 4; 22:14
16. Verse 28 tells us that we are to have “grace” for all that we have received from our God, this means to have a thankful heart. What will grace in our hearts lead to? Also see Hebrews 13:15.

18. God will judge the wicked with fire, which will be meted out at the Great White throne judgment by Christ- Explain using Revelation 20:11-15.
19. But, the fire that consumes will also be demonstrated at the judgement seat of Christ. Explain how it will affect those that have trusted in Jesus for salvation. I Corinthians 3:9-15
20. Why should we remind ourselves of Hebrews 12:28, 29?
